AI isnt all that. This is common knowledge. Its a shame because Id like the game to be a little more difficult / challenging. Sadly (for me) this can only be experienced by using cars in the standard (or near standard form) form.... That or going online against people who know how to drive!

Its always been one of GT's downfalls.... Is it too much to ask to have an AI opponent take a corner faster than one would normally expect!!

But what I would say is that the initial video was clearly put together unfairly and that the AI does try to avoid people. I'm not saying it's better than Forza as I've not even played Forza 3 but it isn't totally retarded like some posters have made out. :)
 
Just Golded the Euro Classic Car Champ with an E-Type :) ... and won a VW Kubelwagon or something. What's the point of it?! Apart from it giving me an 'Old Timers Trophy'.

Interesting vid.

Clearly highlights the fact that the ai in both games are rather primitive. Id like to see cars drift off of the racing line now and then!
 
Just done the F1 race at Monza, it was raining but the game starts me on racing softs, anyway seems I am lapping 10 seconds quicker than the AI so by lap 13 had lapped them all and got bored so pitted for wet tyres, big mistake seems you are much faster with slicks in the wet than you are with the wets LOL

And the concrete brake markers at the 2nd lesmo are just pathetic coding :eek:

The AI will break in most games when you park the car, its how they race that matters.

Hope so, level 10 with the Buick (c.850 BHP) around Suzuka is quite entertaining though.
 
hey guys. just wondering. Havent really touched b spec yet. On level 17 at mo in a spec and loving it but cant stand b spec. seems like a waste of time and find it really monotonous.

was just wondering, what do you actually gain by increasing your b spec level. Any cars worth trying for. Will it effect my progress through the game generally?
Will it effect my ability to get the x1 prototype etc?
 
Any ideas on how to increase the overall top-speed of a car?

E-Type is fine picking up speed but when it gets to the long straights it gets to 140mph and the others car start to close the gap.

Install a fully customisable transmission and change the gear ratio.

I made that mistake too :p Its not a fun car to drive IMO, I should have used my Corvette so that when I was bored I could practice my drifting skillz :D

Do the wets look different to the slicks? I saw that it was raining (same race actually) and spec'd racing wets before I started, but started and they looked slick :confused: And then I feel off at the first corner :mad: Did I actually start on slicks do you think?
