How many of you keep a diary?

I do, its generally full of things people would put as a facebook status, thoughts, little pictures, dreams and like bus tickets glued in and I duno a label of a bottle of whisky that was to nice to forget.

Why does that surprise you? It's an evolved social trait.

Haven't a clue, it serves no real purpose other than to comfort which doesn't actually help resolve the problem or issue. Other than to 'confirm' friendship, support and that people still care so I can see some peoples logic behind it.

I'd rather have a good friend offer useful advice and real solutions than somebody I rarely speak to saying 'Awww, it'll be okay'. Even still I wouldn't want my friends to feel sorry for me over anything. We all get dealt our hand in life, some of us more fortunate that others, get on with it and make the most of it you can.

There is no shame in wanting comfort and sympathy, it's perfectly human.

No, I remember when I was young thinking it would be a good idea and giving it a go, but I don't think I put anything in it more interesting than what I had for breakfast, and soon got bored.

Oh I agree, far too many attention seekers.

I was commenting more on this bit:

What I mean is that I don't wish to burden my friends heavily with my problems. I let them know if I'm having a rough patch and how I feel and what they think I should do. But I won't continually whinge or whine or drag them down with me.

I'll let them support me but like to deal with the majority of my problems or issues myself. Haven't got a problem being there for my friends as we all deal with things differently.

Be fair, it's a belief you try and perpetuate to ensnare the young boys... :p

On a completely unrelated note have you heard anything from MrG recently? Just wondering if he's doing alright as I haven't seen him around here for a while.

Damn it!

From what I've heard mate he's busy away from the forums, I hope he comes back soon though just to let us all know he's ok. I miss old Geemeister :(

Dear Diary,

Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy. Today we were kidnapped by hill-folk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever.

Yeah... But she's OUR witch. So cut her the hell down.

Quality.

And no I don't keep a diary. One book containing so much misery, contempt and rage could only be bound by a substance as yet unknown. Not that my life is miserable or anything. It's just if i was writing a diary it would be crap about morons on the road or the weather.

I do, it's online on Wordpress but privately secured. I update it every month - or more frequently if I feel I need to. I don't see the point of doing one every day, or even every week. But once a month works nicely for me.

Definately not.

If I wrote down what I thought then I'd be in trouble with absolutley everyone I know, including the dogs.

Definately not.

I'm usually in trouble with just about everyone I know, including the dogs, WITHOUT writing it all down as evidence! :D
