Guilty Pleasures

Have you ever felt like this? And why the Long face?
I often feel like this. Right now I've got money in my account and no good reason not to spend it. Every now and then I think about buying a television, a PS3, or even a high end gaming PC. But if I did spend the money I know I would regret it. I'd feel idiotic, I'd be angry at myself and I wouldn't enjoy the things I had bought.

I've always been careful with money (except when I splurged on my MacBook, didn't feel guilty about that as I had endured years of frustration with my old HP machine) but I think as I get older I prefer to find pleasure in simpler things. I've sold the television, the PS3, the CDs, the DVDs, and I'm happier now than I've been for a long time (there are other reasons for this too).

You should never feel guilty for making yourself happy. That's what life's about!

Other people like to try and convince you that you should be as miserable as them, and regret everything you've ever done. Unless something has caused you or your loved ones considerable harm or burden, never regret it!
