Audi A7 - complete with night vision..!

If i remember correctly, this was a feature of an S class that was reviewed on top gear, according to Clarkson it's not too distracting, you just look at it as you would a mirror.

Nothing new at all - Lexus have had it for almost 10 years and the current shape S Class has had it since launch...
Ah yes, just looked it up. An article in AutoExpress describes it as uselss (when reviewing the Merc). Same would apply here I guess.
Looks funky though :)

2011 S Class will also have Active Night View Assist Plus as standard, which aswell as the IR HUD has spotlight feature such that any 'high risk' pedestrians are actually illumininated by a directionally controlled beam of light from the headlamp.

I think they will sell more than the 5 Series GT, simply because the 5 GT is one of the ugliest cars ever made! (IMO).

I had a poke around a 5 GT yesterday while my car was having some work done and I quite liked it, but I really like the panamera too, so think a misspent youth has done away with my judgement.

Imagine the cost of having a minor front end bump and smashing the camera...

£lots to fix it please.

Camera is mounted in the interior rear view mirror, certainly in the case of the S-Class. That'd have to be one hell of a smash :p

all this money spent on protecting pedestrians how about teaching people not to step out in front of cars?
