***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

What have you guys used to beat GT All Stars? I'm using the RM ZR1, fully tuned with racing slicks. It's fast in the straights, but its understeer makes cornering a nightmare and it's very unforgiving if you don't take the perfect entry angles.

I've golded 3/5 individually, but have only managed 2nd place overall. It's all down to the odd little mistake here and there; I'm sure that if I raced perfectly I'd win the competition. But the cars are all over your tail and one spin out takes you from 1st down to 12th.

I don't think I'll ever gold the Ring. Such a long course that I just can't remember it all. Combined with a narrow track and lots of slopes and camber, I can't do better than about 5th. Of course I only need to gold the tournament, but yeah, all golds would be nice.

The ZR1 is probably the cheapest way to get shed loads of power from a light car, but it's understeer is a nightmare. Has anyone tried adjusting some aero/springs settings to make it a bit better?

Use the RM ZR1 to win Like the Wind, then use the Toyota MINOLTA 88C-V Race Car '89 you win there for GT All Stars.

Make sure you max out all the aero sliders in the setting menu, that'll help in the corners :)

for the british lightweight u can approach in 3 easy ways:

Lotus Elise 111r/Motorsport. i used the motorsport.

I also used a Caterham fireblade with a few mods. Also you can get the esprit 350 down below 1200kg with the first weight reduction mod ahaha! And that really blows them out of the water.

I don't know what I've done to my zr1 since yesterday morning. I got gold on first two courses then had to go to bed. Cone to try today and I can't even compete. WTF?

You mean me or the car? I've played a few others, I should be better than last time.

[edit]whoever knew tires could make such a huge difference. B spec must have needed sports on. Oops.

B-Spec has limits on hat tyres can be used. Some races it is limited to Sports Soft, others is Comfort Soft and most are Racing Hard. What ever were previously used remain when you next choose the car. I've failed the Nurburg Ring a few times because I've tried to go up against race cars with Comfort Soft on :o

The Sebastian Loeb challenges are really easy.. Smoking all the targets by 8seconds! Dont understand how some Special Events can be solid and this can be easy??

Anyone else find the Rally events harder with a wheel!? I've got a G25 and struggle with it compared with the pad...

Is it just me!? lol
