OcUK, my hopes were taken beyond this world, and then burned into the sun, how can i trust a forum for information about a pending GPU again?

Get a grip, really. Some person messed up, played the fool and now you are demanding performances that are not there?. Where exactly is this thread going as if you had a problem you could have called OCUK directly without bringing up this discussion which has closed two threads already?.

This is nothing but bait otherwise you'd have contacted OCUK or one of the mods privately.......

You're referring to Martini I guess. Did go a bit far I guess.

Don't untill the reviews come out, simple as that. Far too many complete and utter bellends that seem to get off by giving out false info.

That was days a go and corrected well before launch, and it's all speculation up to review day anyway. Anyway I was given performance for 6950 xfire and not 6970 as I initially thought.

Aye.

I agree they should both be suspended but that's only my opinion. I have nothing much to say other than I hope one learns to not be as stupid again and the other (skyrocket) be less aggressive and personal in discussion.

If the discussion led to threads being closed then I've not got a clue why Shaffaaf27 is trying to start something else. It was over till this thread popped back up :(.

u can buy 2 6950 for that performance at same price as a 580, so it aint a waste.
overcloking likely rocks.

I find some just cant stay on the ground before a launch

Was going to go for the 6970 but now am thinking about the 480?

Have lots of PCs in the room already so noise and power draw are not really an issue. My case has the fans spinning on high so cooling is not an issue either.

I read that the 480 overclocks to the stock speed of a 580. Yet the 6970 overclocked does not really achieve this?

With the added bonus of saving £30?

Make sense yeah? :)

Dunno why people make such a big deal out of it... his source was wrong or he made it up or whatever who really cares? just means we know hes less likely to be reliable next time.

Its come and gone I'm afraid, was an OcUK deal a couple of months back, £164 inc delivery for forum members, best GPU purchase I've made, mafia 2 voucher that came with it fetched a few quid too.

Should have just bought a pair of GTX470 @ £164 instead.

Stop pimping out your GTX 470s Rroff :p. Nasty case of PCS you have there (Purchase cheesiness syndrome).

Just having a laugh. GTX 460s are mighty impressive in SLI so 470's can only shine in comparison at those prices. What would they be like on air though?. I've heard these are hot buggers (470s). I'm thinking GTX 570 or 6950 myself for now then build a system early next year and add a second card of whatever I choose. If I could get away with air then I'd be might interested in the 470s as it would cost about £330 and if I can overclock on air in SLI then it would be even better.

We don't know how far a 6970 can clock until we get some voltage tweaking software.

They do get a tad warm in more intensive stuff. My case has good cooling tho so its not a big issue. 6950 CF would probably be a lot easier on the power, heat and noise side.

I know I pimp them a bit lol but I'm quite chuffed given the price and mileage I'm getting out of them.
