Grrrrrrr HDNL

Should we ban delivery company moan threads now? I think we should.

Would agree but as far as these bunch of cowboys are concerned the more threads the merrier, would loe to see the first 10 google results for 'HDNL' as threads moaning about them!

Other delivery companies make mistakes occasionally sadly mistakes seem to be HDNL's delivery model! The put a package in my Wheelie bin and didn't put a card through the door, when I tracked it and it said delivered I contacted them and they said it is in the wheely bin yet by the time I got home they had already sent someone round to remve it from my bin, the person who removed it also refused to give it too my elderly neighbour. Que much ranting and another delivery the single wierdest company ever!

Might as well join in - had a video camera 'delivered' by HDNL, which meant leaving it outside our back gate. Fully visible from the road and fully vulnerable to the rain that came that evening. We were away for three days - luckily a relative came by our house, saw it, and took it with them otherwise it'd have been ruined.
Can't believe it's cheaper for them to do lazy deliveries like this and then deal with the inevitable compensation claims? Surely must be costing them a fortune, even if they do ignore complaints.

HDNL once tried to tell my post code didn't exist so they couldn't deliver to me  They must use another postcode system to the one operated by Royal Mail as it hase been the same since they came into existence

Interestingly as an aside though our road doesn't have a 233 on it, it jumps straight from 231 to 235 on the od numbers side but I bet HDNL can deliver to 233 :p

I've had HDNL try to deliver to me the past three days (a week late). They were good enough to leave a note saying they attempted delivery but couldn't leave the parcel as it requires a signature.

While I guess this is good for security (judging by some of the posts here), why they can't get a neighbour to sign for it like other companies do is beyond me.

Customer service is a joke too as they won't put a note on to leave it with neighbour! Instead they will waste fuel and time trying to deliever when nobody is home!!

HDNL do, in my experience deliver to neighbours if the addressee isn't in.
However iI think t requires a note from the addressee, I know that we get deliveries for at least 2 or 3 of our neighbours on a regular basis from the likes of DHL, Fedex, HDNL and RM/PF, as we've nearly always got someone in, and at least one of the neighbours has a note in her window "if no answer please try number XX".

The problem with the driver deciding which neighbour to leave it with, is that not everyone gets on with their neighbours:)

I ordered something on Monday for next day delivery which has failed to turn up yet. I think only one other time they haven't delivered a next day parcel the next day, so generally they're okay I guess. The only problem I have with them is that for some reason they always seem to deliver around 6pm, and even when they do make a delivery, they don't always knock (three people were in the house when they last made a delivery to me, yet no-one heard a knock at the door, and it took my dad coming home from work to bring in the parcel that was left on the porch).

I hope to be pleasantly surprised when I go home tonight, but I'm not going to hold me breath.

they lost my £450 phone.

After about a week chasing I got a refund from the shop I bought it from, but not exactly the point as someone now has a free phone !!

Funny this thread should turn up, we had a card through the door for a totally different address. Well, same house number, but different post code and street....

HDNL started out as excellent but are now an utter PITA, they only turn up when pushed over the phone.

I went to the office yesterday to ask why a parcel I'd had collected on Tuesday was still in their depot. The woman was very rude, barking at me. YOU CAN'T COLLECT A PARCEL FROM HERE like 3 times before I had chance to explain why I was there.

Cheap and cheerful once upon a time, not now!

I dont rate DHL or these chumps anymore.

If only P2G had the choice of DPD....:(

I'm currently waiting for 2 parcels from them, although the status now says delayed and they have suspended any option to change delivery date etc even though the site tells me to arrange a new delivery.

This is the reason despite the HDNL depot being 1 mile from my house I work for parcelforce 25 miles away! Bunch of cowboys, I've spoke to a couple of drivers in my area out of politeness and they genuinely haven't a clue. Pay peanuts, get monkeys....

I must be one of the lucky ones as I've just had a good encounter with HDNL. Pickup was delayed by a day (would have been a major issue if I was employed and had to book a day off) but after that it was delivered the next day.

I booked it through Parcel2go.com who don't really seem to know what they are doing. They kept sending me emails to say they can't collect the item even after it's been collected!

HDNL....ggrrrr.... Fully agreed. Always had bad experiences with them. Latest was after purchasing a few cases of mulled wine from M&S who use them. Paid for a Saturday delivery, timeslot was given as from 9am to 9pm. That wound me up for starters. Then no attempt to deliver was made on the Saturday at all. Called M&S and asked them to cancel the order as I would not be in the rest of the week to accept it. They said they couldn't as it had shipped, and my only option was to refuse to accept it.

Obviously HDNL left it with a neighbor during the week. Nice of the neighbor to hand it over, but they didn't have to sign for it. M&S are still investigating why it wasn't delivered (this was before the snow), but all I've had is a refund. I generally expect better service, so won't be using M&S delivery again until they ditch HDNL.

NDHL are useless.
Recently had them try to deliver to me 2 days in a row, when I was at home... Only got a card on the second attempt and that was shoved through the door at the front of the building. Strangely the buzzer entry system works and they didn't use it.

Warning for you all - they appear to be changing their name from NDHL to Yodel... Same company, same service, different name. :(

Our HDNL seems to be alright, can't say I've noticed anything go missing or take longer than normal though.

The local driver is a young Polish lass... I do kinda feel sorry for her when she's carrying gurt big crates of wine up our steep front steps!
