Also, is there a way you can make your medivacs follow your MM ball automatically?

There is. Click the Medi then hit M. Then left click on the unit you want it to follow. It then will be behind your army rather than infront of it!

Took me ages to find this out too!

Solid quality even when expanded, been watching for a few minutes, no lag so far apart from a bit of what looks like game lag on your end, sound quality fine, could do with maybe some music in the background.

Oh one more thing.

YOU HAVE NOT ENOUGH MINERALS.

hehe ok. I put some music on.

I've just tried that and it works perfectly, thanks! :) I'm really liking mass marines right now, as I normally run out of gas for upgrades but as marines use no gas I tend to be winning a lot more...

As terran (only bronze but a bit better than that) i find protoss fairly easy but zerg very hard. My games against protoss are over fairly quickly as i always push early...so i agree maybe toss are stronger late game but terran are stonger early... i think it makes for more interesting tactics than having 'perfect' balance throughout.

I think protoss can be hard to beat as terran if the protoss player has good micro. Forcefields and psi-storms wipe out my MMM ball... :(

As for zerg, I can usually handle them unless they make a ton of banelings... Banelings the bane of my life it seems! :p

Quick question for any zerg players, can a speed upgraded baneling outrun a marine off creep?

With stim off creep you can outrun fast blings. Tank marine medvac does well against zergies.

Either run away from bains and let the tanks handle them or spread the marines out so that it is cost inefficient for the zerg player and eventually you just overwhelm him (lol role reversal).

Edit: also a few marauders (producing from a single rax) for the meatshield against blings works well too. I generally have around 5 rax with 4 reactor and 1 tech pumping out loads of marines and occasional marauder

Thanks, I keep forgetting to get tanks, occasionally I get them, but even then I often leave at my base by missile turrets just to stop counterattacks... Next time I'll try bringing a few along to the battle.

Right now I just run from b.lings if I see any, but burrowed ones can be a real pain if you don't have detection.

I normally go marine medvac now. I used to get loads of marauders , but too often I'd end up making them even if there were a substantial amount of air units from the opposition. :( Marines are pretty good against everything though, and I find I can churn them out pretty fast out of 6 reactored rax. I may try throwing in a few marauders in my next few games, I do quite like the concussive shell also, works great against zealots and lings...

 SWEEEET. Will give these a watch later tonight :D

Dunno if i'll have much useful to suggest, had the worst losing spree ever this week :(

Same :(, I've literally lost my last 10 games I think. I've even lost a few games against silver players! Rather embarrassing...

I was wondering, does anyone here play random? I've been seriously looking at switching from zerg to random, just to try out all the matchups really. I guess it's extremely hard to do, and I have no interest in becoming some top diamond player, but I thought it might be fun :). Any thoughts/experiences of this?

hi mate, never posted on these threads before but i'm a really keen player. my thoughts..do it! i am mid-diamond zerg on 1st account, high plat random on my second, and having tonnes of fun with it. i won't lie, it's a lot tougher, especially if you want to play proper (i.e. no cheese). it's just a great challenge and really great to sample all the different match-ups (apart from pvsp -_-).

if you want to add me up for some practise, or anyone else from the forums wants to then great. always looking for more people to practise with and against! :)

Hi mate :),

Thanks for the info! Yeah I think I'm going to give it a try. I'm only a gold zerg at the moment anyway so I'm not diamond material by any means so practising might be... interesting :p. Thanks for the offer though.

At the moment I've been practising protoss, getting some build orders and stuff. It's been really good fun learning the various different problems/advantages toss face (warp gates own). Adding terran into the mix after a bit shouldn't be too hard.

Out of interest, do you still prefer to play zerg?

Eugh, played 5 games this morning.

Game 1 - Bunker Rush.
Game 2 - Proxy gate/Canon Rush
Game 3 - Canon Rush
Game 4 - 3 Rax
Game 5 - 3 Rax - Scouted, tore the ****** a new one, unfortunately he was not very good so I didn't feel very pleased.

Actually had a rather...interesting game last night, PvT, Terran built nothing but Tanks and Battle Cruisers, as a result I went immortal/blink stalker/sentry, I had 3 expos fairly saturated, he had 2 (one of which was a PF with no workers for the last 4 minutes of the game), he didn't attack once, at the end of the game he said, and I quote:

Him: "FFS Protoss are ridiculous, can't win in late game, so OP"
Me: "You built nothing but Tanks and Cruisers, I had a diverse army, far more units than you, loads of upgrades and the ability to replenish my army within a few minutes"
Him: "They are strong units, still can't win against Toss, so ****ing OP"

He then surrendered, I wonder if he learned anything.

Yeaa, did recently have a Terran complaining about the number of HTs i was able to build. Given i had 4 bases worth of gas and he had 2, and he couldnt use ghosts for ****, I couldnt really take it that seriously :p.

It's ok, eventually terrans will figure out how to use ghosts more effectively, and they'll remember how insanely good marines and marauders are in the early game. Then protoss will go right back to calling every aspect of terran OP.

Personally i think Zerg dont get enough hate any more :D

To be fair I haven't been 6 pooled in about 30 games and I've got pretty damn good and fending off Roach pushes and Baneling busts, I still think Mutalisks are the spawn of Satan and anyone that uses them deserves to be ripped apart by very angry bulls.

well, i'll put it this way. zerg is the race i prefer to play on its own, mainly because: i enjoy the mirror (unlike the others), i find the dynamics so unique and it's my best race. however i enjoy playing random more than i do zerg on its own. if that makes any sense? :D it might have something to do with my taking it more serious, but i think it's mainly because of the diversity and challenge it offers.

yours is definitely the best way to do it though. taking on two new races at once is not a recipe for success, but this way you'll be dominating as a random in no time i'm quite sure :)

anyway, if you or any other fellow forumers does fancy a game sometime, i'll leave my details here just in case: 'amnesiac' - '681' :)

I've been doing lots of 4v4 lately, great fun when winning, and quite horrible while losing!

i do loads of 3v3s and as of late all iv been doing is losing, sometimes i think my team mates are complete tards....like the time we came up against 3zerg opponents - there was only one way this was going to start for them: zergling rush.

scouted, was exactly what they were doing. got down a lab and 2xcannons, walled off completely. what did my other team mates do? carry their builds as if nothing was out of the norm....income the zerglings and take both of them out.GG, even though i was the one that actually thought about what was occuring and adapted to survive the opening push, whilst all they wanted to do was mass up even though they wouldnt make it that far

but anyway, stuck in 4th on gold 3v3 atm, no-one below me is gaining points quick enough to catch me and all i ever see is plat players dropping above me. When the hell am i gonna be ranked up!
