Although if you're going to be using that GTX 260, from what I can tell that only has 2x DVI slots on the back. If the back of your TV has the same connector then you'd need a DVI cable.
You can get VGA to DVI adaptors for a couple of pounds. Sounds like your TV has VGA output. Does it not say in writing what the connection type is? RGB/Analogue/VGA/D-Sub/D15
Do you only have the TV connected to your PC or have you got a monitor and TV connected at the same time?
Is the only thing you see the desktop background or can you see the taskbar/Start menu, windows etc?
What happens exactly when you play a video? Do you see the media player software with a black area where the video should be or just absolutely nothing appears at all?

I didn't set up the dualview option, when I did no problems. Just a matter of changing the primary and sec monitors over in NV control panel as and when, I'm not really after a dual display, I just want to be able to watch stuff off my HD on my TV in bed.
