L1 is so easy its silly, just a good run is all thats needed along with a few good free players. Setting your self up in le champ and the prem is much harder (though if you still get mental transfer budgets from cortase cant complain)

Managed to convince Thorgon Hazard and Lukaku to join in the first year (48 monthly payments
), and apart from that it was just loans, frees, and some very small transfer fees.
Lallana went to Stoke for 4m in January of my first premiership season, he just wasn't cutting it at AMC against such good opposition, and I don't play any wide players so he was getting played out of position.
Chamberlain went at the same time for 700k to Everton, he just wasn't quite premiership quality.
