UK government proposes to block all Internet porn as standard

Why not give better sex education in schools in the first place? I would bet money on most children's sex education consisting of a video and a 5 minute talk from an embarrassed teacher.

In regards to pregnancies the formal education isnt an issue. I've worked in education for decades and all the students I have encountered who have got pregnant were fully aware of how it happened and what the repercussions of their acts would be. They didnt get pregnant because they didnt realise it would make them pregnant, they got pregnant because they wanted to. (generally speaking)

Giving sex education I think it would have worse effects. The earlier they no about it the faster they want to try in most cases. This is just my view on it.

This is why the porn been filtered it has to be done as I think this sort of stuff is killing the country.

Most young parents these days can't look after the child properly. Very few work and live off the dole with free houses.

Will this be as bad as Vodafone blocking basically everything funny on mobile internet? I cant even go on urban dictionary and dead baby jokes :(

I know you can unblock it but when I ever I try to it gives me an error so I have just given up.

Probably. T-Mobile are as bad, they seem to have blocked a load of Job websites due to "Adult" content too...

Stupid.

I still don't quite understand the logic that two or more people beating the carp out of each other/killing people is fine whereas showing naked bodies and people having sex is bad...

The hell has that got to do with porn though?

That's down to either poor education (in general), and parenting... surely?

ahahahha this reminded me of a time I was watching TV with my nan... flicking through channels and I caught a glimpse of a sex scene, she said "I think he must have been strangling her"

Claire Perry is a nobody.

I wish there were less thick people here (like the OP) who a gullible, post drivel, and seem to accept it. I mean come on - news.com.au ffs

Have you bothered to go out of the house yet? You would see that Ed Vaizey has been quoted in today's Sunday Times. Is he a nobody too?

Will you ever take off your rose tinted Torry glasses or is your love for all things Blue, pardon the pun, clouding your ability to have your own opinion?

Well, once children start finding out what the sexual parts are for, they start exploring. You can education someone as much as you want, but if they want to do it they will. Parenting isn't to blame. Like I said you can advise someone, but no1 listens.

There's nothing wrong with sex. Educate people properly and I don't see a problem - unless a council house and no life is their objective (parent fail).

I never said there was anything wrong with sex. Like I said even with education people don't listen. It's a catch 22. I no plenty people who have had sex education, they never listened. They now don't work, full time parent and a house that the council owns.

Back on topic anyway.

You really need to think for yourself a lot more and stop trying so hard to be one of the OCUK 'detectives'. Use some common sense, look around for five minutes. If you bother to actually look at a copy of the Sunday Times you will see that the news.com.au article lifts the front page nearly word for word.

he's right though, it's a minor suggestion to try and get some air time by a relativity minor mp.

The government are not going to try and implement it.

Tefal, that's not what he was calling into question. He was querying the mere existence of the article. Nowhere did I say this would happen, merely that it was a proposal.

No he wasn't he quoted an article on it he was saying it was no where near "government proposes" it's MP suggests.

iirc a proposition actually requires some writing and it's not going to get to that stage

Is Ed Vaizey a nobody?

what has he said since I'm not paying for the times.

Was it "yes i agree with this and will do everything in my power to enforce it as law" or was it "err yes sure it is a concern" when hounded by a journalist on the subject?
