I am flying with AA next week to Miami and i was just wondering if anyone had flew with them before :o and could tell me if they use either a 1 socket or 2 socket for the headphones? as i will be watching the films etc so i was just wondering if i need an adaptor for my Sennheisers.
Thanks

I flew to Miami with them in June and it was fine! Can't quite remember what sort of socket it was but have a funny feeling it was a 2 pin one.

I've been with them a few times. To me they seem just like any other airline. Mind you they kept the drinks coming quite regular, by about 3 hours in the stewardess never even bothered to ask what I wanted and just started pouring the coffee and two sugars. I think I had about 15 that flight.

Every time I've been with them it's been twin headphone sockets.

Thanks mate, i will just pick up a adaptor at the airport then.

Used to use them lots until they reduced the seat pitch by 3 inchess and haven't used them since, used my airmiles up on a business class flight and binned them off, not sure if they still have the Pizzas as they were very good

staff tend to be grumpy and you have to pay for booze

Steve, well i will get one just incase i dont.
Just contacted AA and they couldnt tell me anything about my flight from heathrow so know i am looking into the possibility of flying from Manchester.
Stupid snow :@!!!

If you are on a 777 its a 1 pin socket for headphones. Flew with them to Chicago and back recently.

Not great, but what flight is? Not bad either really.

Yeah done the chicago flight myself on the 777 and it is just a one pin connector, its more dependant on plane rather than airline, just buy an adapter anyway to be on the safe side.

Standard for a US carrier, isn't it?

yes though was a bit shocked by one stewardess who pointed to her black colleague and tells me that she hates working with "her sort"

Thanks for the replies,
I think it is 777 that im going on but i will get an adaptor anyways.
Its too late to change company now so i will just have to see if i get a good flight or not.

I flew AA and thought it was OK. At least with them you can get power in Economy so I can entertain myself for the entire flight. Virgin cabins and IFE are nicer. AA IFE is pretty dire really.
