But uses it's name far to much, there really is a bit pointless buying the new ones if you have the old ones imo. So little has changed, tbh quite disappointed with civ V, it feels dated and cumbersome.

Never bothered with Civ V I agree not much different, Civ 3 and 4 seemed to be really good.

Bad Company 2 is excellent, I've really enjoyed multi-player, its not Battlefield 2 but its good.
I love Hearts of Iron very deep deep game but if your into your World War 2 / early Cold War then snap it up the HOI2 pack is very good for the price, and also consider Arsenal of Democracy which is basically a super version of HOI2.
Ooh I didn't know there was a Top Gun game, looks like it might be fun for £1.99.

Actually one game which I can't see on that SavyGamer list is Puzzle Kingdoms for 85% off, which I recommend if you like Puzzle Quest type games, I have it and enjoyed it a lot, and it has some great music.

It was only £4.25 in the black friday sales, i'd wait a bit.

I've had the first one on disc since release, but at this price I'm also seriously tempted at grabbing the pack just to have it on Steam.
If you're only buying the 1st F.E.A.R game like I did, you get both expansions for free.
Not bothered about the 2nd one, played it before and wasn't impressed.

The first FEAR was awesome (as was the multiplayer) but the expansions and sequel were rather blah.

Anyone have any opinions on CivCity: Rome? Worth 59p?
Just my luck: Tried buying some games on the today only deals. Tried with paypal and Visa. Both kept bringing up an error. I now have loads of failed transactions in my purchase history. Tried again this morning and the same thing. I think steam has put a flag on me paying with either of those - not sure why though 
We i thought I'd try one last time with CCard, and it went through the payment process but says it's pending...The games are in my library but I'm unable to download.
I've raised a support request with steam but fear they won't get back to me before the end of the sale. And definitely not before the end of today's sale.
Anybody else have similar problems?

Did you restart steam? Failing that delete the clientregistry.blob and try again. They shouldn't be in your library full stop unless you've paid.
Failing that see if you can get someone to gift them you before the daily sale ends.

All the classic Prince of Persia: Sands of time, Warrior within, Two thrones are excellent and highly enjoyable in their own rights. I would suggest buying all three of them. Amazing story and game play experience

So for example NFS:Shift is £7.49 under the EA catalogue and will remian that price until 2nd Jan.
