As boring as it may be its done so a uniform corporate image is portrayed across all models, makes all the cars tie in together and keeps costs down.

Not got an issue with it myself, all the big car makers do it.

Christ, Merc have their smallest coupe (AFAIK) and their high-end supercar looking exactly the same. At least with Audis they're similar cars, only the size differs.

Engine is still too far infront of the front axle - good old Audi.

A6 is a splendid car, splendid for making the MY12 XF look even better.

Looks like we are not alone in thinking Audi = Same = Dull

A few posts into the thread somebody has posted the fronts of their differing models and it's the wide and tall gaping front grill seems to leave not much either side that can be styled so in essence it almost decides the look.

Years ago i used to think of Audi as subtle, the thinking mans BMW/Merc if you like.

Not any more, with all the silly led's and copied styling, i just dont know why anyone buys one over the equivalent BMW/Merc any more.

Or VW for that matter, i know no one agrees with me but when i see them i just think VW.

Apart from the R8, their cars are looking increasingly similar and generic. They could do with a bit more pizazz and individuality in their range. Look at the original TT, A4, A8 and RS models. Nowadays its difficult to tell one model from the next and they all drive the same due to degree of shared components. It might be economical in the short/medium term but unless they start innovating and leading again, its going to be road to hell.
