***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

I've got gold on all the seasonal events apart from the GTR one, which car did you guys use? I keep trying with my old 90s Skyline but silver is the best I can manage.

Im pretty awful at the licences lol, hence why I avoid them, done the 1st one mostly bronze lol, so will give the next one a shot since it's only bronze needed. And fat chance me getting gold on int b haha.

If anyone can help me out, SK-XO is my psn cheers.

To be fair unless you really want to spend ages getting the licences (and I'm getting the impression you don't :p) it's gonna be easier to do the special events to get some cash, then in the online dealership that was added yesterday there are (iirc) 2 trucks ~30k and an old jap skyline for not a staggering amount either...

Any joy with TC off? I think I was doing 1.20s as well. Caught the leader up on the one before last corner - the tight right hander.

Been at work all day mate, and not sure if I'll get a go tonight. I'm sure I'll manage :)

Finally finished the roadster endurance race in b-spec. For this I get a Mazda 110 '67. WOW. I'm losing the will to continue playing at this point :( Might go back to Tales of Graces for a few days actually, come back to GT5 fresh after a bit of a break.

Also, is hasan_zeb7 someone here's PSN ID? I won't add people randomly unless I know who they are so if it is let me know and I'll add you :)

guys i need help, whats the best way to tune your car for easily handling corners?

I just got myself a Skyline for the special seasonal event (the last one) and trying to get this beast round a corner is absolutely murder, you almost have to break to a stop, even bends it easily goes way off to the other side of the road.

What can I do to fix that? anything?

Just got gold on all the seasonal events, went from midway through level 23 to 25 :D

On all events i put in the twin clutch/semi racing, carbon prop shaft where i could. Full transmission(tuned it to suit event) and weight reduction where possible. Also fixed sports suspension..

If you get the torque converter (not its real name, but its on the right in the drivetrain menu) then you can set that to send only 10% of the power to the front with 90% going to the back, making it essentially rwd. That should cancel out some of the understeer, then chuck on all the aero you can to keep the car glued to the ground

Laguna Seca 200 Miles done. And now I need to do it 3 more times to get my b-spec level to 28 so I can do the Indy 500 event. Sorry but no. At this point I've had enough of having to grind boring events multiple times just to get a levelup so I can do it all again.

I'll probably start again when we can b-spec in a browser window as I can just have it running while I do other stuff without using 100+watts of electric on the PS3 for no real reason.

Sweet, just hit level 35 in B-Spec and was awarded with a Redbull X1 car :D. Just completing the Formula GT championship then that's extreme completed and 2 endurance races left :D

I'm such a sad child, I now have every Lamborghini in the game, and all of the Race Modifiable cars

Have you got that Diablo with the funny livery? :D

I had every Ferrari apart from the two F1 cars before I restarted my game. Now I'm aiming to collect all the Ferrari's again as well as Rally Cars, though I stupidly gave an S4 Delta away the other day which I should've kept! :(

Gah ffs, just went to do the Fiat 500 seasonal event, saw the 1.2 8V SS 08 was in dealership and its 3HP to powerful!

Can I decrease the BHP???

Patch is another nice step in the right direction, seasonal events are a good XP and cash kick, shame they can't be repeated though :D

That's the right car, when you get it it doesn't actually have 68bhp, it has 63 iirc, avoid doing an oil change (as that'll take it to 66), only engine tuning worth doing is a sports air filter, 250 credits and takes you to exactly 65bhp :)

Shouldn't be, unless you've given it an oil change or modified it in any way. The one in the dealership is what 62bhp, the limit being 65. You can run it for a long distance and power will decrease as the oil gets worse and worse

lol you're welcome to have it back if you want it, I'm not actually using it (though I might keep it long enough to attempt some of the rally events) :)

And the Diablo?

I didn't actually know there WAS a Diablo in the game :o I assume it's a used dealership job? I don't recall there being anything beyond the gallardo, murcielago and miura in the new dealership. Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for that then, the Diablo was an awesome car :D I even bought the Countach from the new online dealership earlier just because lol
