***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

That's the right car, when you get it it doesn't actually have 68bhp, it has 63 iirc, avoid doing an oil change (as that'll take it to 66), only engine tuning worth doing is a sports air filter, 250 credits and takes you to exactly 65bhp :)

edit: god knows whats going on, says its 63 now!

guys i need help, whats the best way to tune your car for easily handling corners?

I just got myself a Skyline for the special seasonal event (the last one) and trying to get this beast round a corner is absolutely murder, you almost have to break to a stop, even bends it easily goes way off to the other side of the road.

What can I do to fix that? anything?

First off you dont need any power upgrades.

I say get yourself the GTR Spec V then install the following:

Soft Sport Tyres
6 Speed Short Shift transmission
Get all of the light weight upgrades
Fixed Suspension

Last but not least....... Drive correctly and you come atleast 2nd.

Great, what a random piece of crap the B-Spec Nascar is.
Shows just how bad your driver really is. He always shows them the inside line, he never overtakes when the opportunity is there and he brakes when there is no need to.
Havent tried him on the real courses, just the first oval and its so random as to what the other cars will do on it.
The number of times he gets passed on the inside is stupid. Overtake option is a non event. Dont mind a bit of work to get him to win but most of the time the first oval is a complete waste of 18 mins.
Like the wind with Chap 70's 2J race car with B-Spec isn't working. Car is too heavy and lacking in BHP.
Oh well, back to drawing board i guess.

Ehm can someone tell me or even better loan me a car so I can win the Skyline seasonal events race (the last one) I messed up big time with the skyline I bought

wow 70,000 experience and 700000 credits for coming 2nd in the GTR event, still 8 seconds behind the ford GT tho seems almost impossible to catch it.

Thats using a GTR 09 V-Spec with all mods i can fit and max weight reduction

I used that car, done 1:27's- 1:28's and passed the GT40 on the last corner.

On the muscle car one, you can massively cut some of the corners:D

Just going through the possible Skyline / GT-R's. There's a fair few to choose from :D

Heading towards something that's light.

Haha oh god, the top gear track and a fully modified Mclaren F1 is a match made in petrolhead heaven :D It's an open track that you can abuse massively for lulz and to get extra laps when you should technically be finished, and thanks to the crossover and other interesting parts it's entirely possible to hammer the AI cars all over the place and perform awesome 360s and even 1080s thanks to how crazy this car is :D

Screw leveling up, this is way more fun lol Really wish I had an HD capture device, some of the crazy stuff I'm doing deserves to be YouTube'd.

Not kept up with the GT5 change since the update - could someone tell me how often those extra events rotate and which ones are best/easiest to do for money/experience...

Im cash strapped currently so I guess I need to buy qualifying cars before I can even think of getting all that useful credit :(

ps3ud0
