I second TV2 (the Norwegian servers right?). They have a lovely Panama Canal 24/7 server and i know of another all maps server too.

Have exactly the same issue, but I've heard EA stats servers are currently down, so this problem could be linked?

Ive resolved it now - I went through the EA Support system with an email, and they just updated my account with the expansion on their end, very quickly as well.
It's 10 activations as well which can be revoked.

Make sure you've blanked out the tickboxes for Empty & Full options on the server search. It might be that simple.

any servers recommended for a beginner? im not doing to bad but in most one on one situations if i dont have the surprise ill be dead due to a level 30 having better weaponry and im guessing heavy armour?
You don't need to be level 30 to be competitive. The magnum ammo would help at level 15 but I have yet to get that and have been competitive or top in plenty of matches. As for recommending servers, if you are on a server where you keep getting thumped and you aren't enjoying yourself at all, just find another one. But you will improve more by playing against good players than against weak ones.

Urrrgggh.....
BC2 Steam Sale Newbie here, and so far i have to say, im not feeling the love for this..at all.
The MP combat just seems so chaotic and unfocused compared to my previous love..BF2.
The destructable scenery just seems gets in the way and obstruct your view of everything.
I'll stick with it and see if its just getting past the 'but its not like BF2' feeling, but so far i have to say, im glad i only payed £7 for it...

I'm not getting into this either, there is so much bull**** in this game it's unbelievable. Playing a hardcore server as on the normal ones people seem to take a whole clip to die. Sniping a guy with an M24, which according to the game has quite a high accuracy and damage. Anyway, spot this guy halfway across the map sitting in a building, shoot him in the head and... get a hit marker, yes a HIT MARKER when I shot him in the head. He then proceeds to turn around and shoot me about 3 or 4 times across the map with a SCAR-L.

Some tips:
1) This ISN'T BF2. Enjoy the game for what it is.
2) Don't play hardcore. They're pointless snipe-fests.
3) Accept the fact that it takes slightly more hits than one to kill someone. This actually means you need to be more tactical rather than just rely on the fact that you pulled the trigger first. Realism suffers but fun levels benefit massively.
4) If you're finding it a bit random play on smaller servers and/or try SQDM. Also try speaking to your squad via squad chat more - as long as you're not barking out orders you'll find that the majority of players will pay attention to what you're saying and attempt to be more tactical. The exception to this of course is the campy sniper that won't move out of base.

Search {SAS} hit enter and that always returns beer drinkers for me only way i can find it on the browser list.
Great server, been my home for most of BC2, recommend it to anyone after a friendly highly skilled server. Edit ... Most of the time

yeah, sometimes friendly...
No, if you hit him in the head he'd be dead m24 is 1 hit kill in the head at any range, you hit him in the body at long range. (within 15ft or so on normal probably longer for hardcore, it's 1 hit body kill too)
Remember there's bullet drop.
Also if it's taking you a full clip on normal that's because you're spraying full auto and missing wildly as it takes 2-3 shots.
try not to camp and actually push up.
Yeah people who can actually aim are annoying arn't they?
As Tefal said really, sometimes when you think you've hit them, you have either just slightly tagged them or you've missed completely. Best thing to do, is suck it up and just try again and get into cover if they turn around and shoot you back.
