Hey guys,

I'm currently in the process of deciding what SSD to buy for around £90-100. As there's so many I'm quite unsure and lost on what to get :o

The ones that have caught my eye are the OCZ Vertex 2E 60GB, Corsair F60 and Corsair C300.

They all seem pretty similar, do they have any major differences such as real world performance etc?

Thanks!

Yeah, I've seen that the C300 tends to load applications a bit faster, but I don't think I'd want to have a write speed that low, even if it's not *that* noticable :P.

Decisions!

I know you probably dont want to hear this but id save up a bit longer £200-300. I like you do not have an SSD atm (and i also really want one!).Realistically for me i need at least 256Gb of space and would like 200mb/s> read/write speeds, but as far as i can see its out of my price range atm.

Another consideration may be the Seagate "Hybrid" drives albeit ive never used one before so cant copy on performance/reliability.

from what i read at anandtech it came down to, if you want a larger drive - go crucial. if it's smaller, one with a sandforce controller.

i only want 40-60GB for OS and maybe 1 steam game. that's it.

am i right then in thinking a 60GB sandforce drive would be best for me?

I choose the C300 because for an OS/Boot drive you want high 4K IOPS. At the time the C300 was king. If your doing high end stuff like video editing then then go the OCZ.
