Indy should be easy as pie, your driver should walk that one and get gold. It's the ones that follow that are evil. My driver managed to scrape a win by literally 5 points thanks to the random nature of the positions the other cars tend to get throughout. Think it was something like 1st, 12th, 5th, 1st, 12th he got in the races. Or it could've been first in the final race, can't remember now.
Either way, max downforce so he doesn't spin out all the time (at least, not quite so much) and try not to push him too far into the red if possible, b-spec drivers spin nascars really easily I've found.

maybe i'm just slow and only just noticed it, but just loaded up GT5 to the start screen went to fetch a cup of tea and it was playing a jazzed up christmas music
