Regardless december 25 was the date chosen to celebrate the birth of Jesus. whether its accurate or not it doesn't really matter.

As for dubai, it is bull**** the way workers are treated there. But Dubai doesn't follow sharia law, and secondly almost all its money comes from tourism and trade from the west. So you could argue that Christians, particularly the British and Americans are just as guilty in supporting the BS labour laws that are there.

No not really...as a muslim it doesnt offend me one single bit as i have seen that picture that Tank has posted...its not the first time hes posted it either but meh doesnt offend me as much as some of the peoples views in here....and just to add that the woman in the pic isnt even muslim

Heres a thought for the Mods, why dont you set up a sub forum where everyone can post up all sorts of anti religion threads??...majority of them will be islam/muslim threads of course

Why are you even arguing it?

It's quite accepted that Christmas was invented by christianity later on to complete with Yule, or the winter solstice.

It's not a slur, it's how things happened.

Whilst everyone is quite rightly free to air their controversial viewpoint, it's always dependent on how reasonable that viewpoint in the circumstances as to what our reaction to that person should be. Sometimes we should consider that opinion and review our own, sometimes we should criticise it, sometimes we should condemn it. I'm quite happy to condemn the ridiculous posters in the OP because they are completely unreasonable and offensive.

Tunneling further (and arguably unecessarily so) down the rabbit hole we can say how we judge such controversial opinions will be influenced by our moral conditioning. But I think that's niether nor there for the sake of the topic at hand.

other people but we can't have a go back or is that the way you want it to be?

If some christian extremists started blowing people up and sending 12 year olds to their death
I would join in with the bashing of them to show I was 100% against it.

He doesn't have the power to delete threads or ban members because he doesn't like what they say - they need to break rules. I'd be very uneasy about imposing my personal opinion on the whole forum and I'm sure any mod feels the same.

Whenever such threads pop up I don't really see it as one sided - there are extreme opinions on both sides and a whole lot inbetween.

The depressing thing for me is no-one ever learns anything, they are unable to adjust their opinions so it's all a little bit pointless. Like this thread

I did find the website from the poster to be quite interesting. Reasonably well made but the content only makes sense if you have had a very odd education. They even have a point with some of their views however you would need to completely ignore all the positives of Christmas if you think the answer is to ban Christmas. As for Islam being the answer to the worlds ills, nah, I think I will pass on that one.

Do you mean in the US? Well in some states they sentence 13 year olds to life in imprisonment with no possibility of parole.
Which is now under review I have never heard of a 13 year old in the US sent to their death.
