Christmas is what you make of it. If you don't enjoy it, you're probably doing it wrong.
What he was saying (though to me it wasnt a difficult concept to grasp) was that not enjoying christmas isn't a sign that you're doing anything "wrong", it all depends on your situation and circumstances. The worlds troubles don't dissappear magically because of one imaginary holiday.
That's nothing to do with not enjoying Christmas though. In fact what you just said is completely the point I was making.
An 'imaginary' holiday (as you put it) should have absolutely no bearing on whether you are happy\sad\angry\etc. Real events should control that.
If the fact that it's Christmas, suddenly means that you go from being happy to miserable, then you're probably doing something wrong.
