i've been after a h70 for a while now and i think its time to order one now :). i have the k62 case, at the back of the k62 case is two rubber holes, i was wondering is there a way i can take the tubes off the h70 and thread them through the holes and out then put them back on with out messing the h70 up?. if you can't then no problem.
the reason i want to do is, the temps inside are 20'c inside my case, out side of the case is about 15'c, as my pc is in the back study room its so much colder, so that would mean the rad will be more cooler. i will also be adding two viper fans to it as well.

any help would be gr8.

Thank you & happpy xmas.

i was also thinking of doing this with a case with the WC gromits on the back. i would also be interested to know if this is possible :)

From what I can see on my H50 it is a sealed system so as such there are no obvious connectors to make this an easy thing to do.

Having alook around the web
http://www.corsair.com/faq/default.aspx
The H50 is designed to be a closed-loop solution with no maintenance required at all. The unit comes pre-filled and features tubes that virtually eliminate evaporation of water. The expected lifespan of the average unit is significantly longer than the 2 year warranty period.

H50 and H70 being very similar so this apply's to both. Looking at it disconnecting the pipes would cause no end of problems , the least of which would be how do you refill it afterward.

Then I found this site

http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=187720

Where someone is talking about how they mounted the H70 externally without disconnecting the pipes. I believe the way they did it was to cut out the metal from where the rear case fan and H70 would install , enlarge the holes for the water cooling pipes upto that now big hole.

The cpu waterblock could then be passed through the rear hole and the pipes positioned in the correct place, then the H70 secured outside the case.

Seems the only way you would be able to do it would involve some case modification like that.

Thank you, that's a nice find. It has giving me the idea of now cutting out the two holes and making it into 1 and slot the slide the CPU mount through the gap :)..
Thank you.
Happy Xmas

P.s
In the pic that chap has the same mobo as me! And looking at the gap he has got for his sli 260 is good for me as i don't have to worrie about the top card overheating :)
