Do the entire drive, you'd need to backup the windows install also to get the game key wherever that is.
Is there any way to backup the install files for an EADM game?
I am in the process of downloading MOH but the download has messed up twice and I had to start from the freaking beginning!
It's nearly 14gb big, can I copy and paste the files across to my brother like steam or will he have to download it too?

Keep Game Installers after games have been installed was ticked!, i checked my download cache and it's empty!
This is for BFBC2 Deluxe
Wanting to know the answer to these questions too! Somebody must know the methods![]()
Does this game need patching?
I've downloaded it from EA store and it does say to patch the game before installing Vietnam also how do you use the bonus item code?
Regarding backing up installed files you've downloaded... This is possible today. Here's how to do it:
To make a back up copy of a game where you have the installer, first navigate to your cache directory in windows. The default cache directory is C:\ProgramData\EA Core\EADM\
Within this directory you should see the email address you use to log in to EADM. Open this directory.
When you open this directory it lists all the installers you downloaded. You can copy these to external media (CD/DVD etc.) Sorry this isn't easier, we're looking at how to simplify the process in future versions of the product.

Did you tick the check box after installing?
It removes them after you've installation, I've always backed them up before pressing 'Install'.

I think you can, I backed up my steam folder onto an external and whenever i feel like playing a certain game just copy the steamapps folder across then check the game files under options within steam, it downloads the updates then its ready to play after a steam reboot
