My name is Jamie, and I've decided to build a giant robot

EPIC.

Land in a remote part of the USA that's mostly vertical and under several feet of snow every year doesn't cost that much, especially when it doesn't have a house, utilities for a house or road access. Still, he has 25 acres and that can't be cheap.

I've just found a 10.6 acre lot in Vermont for $18,000 without any shopping around.

I thought he said it cost him $12000 in one of the early vids ?

I'd be rather wary of raising a child in there. It's one thing when they're a baby, but quite another when they're mobile. The dome is pretty much on a cliff, for starters. The whole place is rather rough and ready, with plenty of ways for an inquisitive toddler to injure themself.

I've just been watching him building a cabin in Alaska. From bare land, with some poles, a few bits of board and tools to cut down trees and make planks and suchlike. Not just a temporary shelter, but a permanent structure.

I can assemble flatpack furniture. Woo.

I'm more impressed by his homebuilding than his robot.

I love some peoples comments on here about it and questioning how he does it, without watching the videos.

I've been working my way through his vids, trying to watch them all, not just the robot ones.

I'm up to the videos where he is replacing his very dangerous lumbar mill, with an even more dangerous model :D:eek:. Which also seems to be far more limited in the size of timber it can cut. Although not watched them all yet so haven't seen it working.

I just hope he doesn't change the way he is when/if he makes millions on his toy idea that he talked about in an earlier video.

I've been subscribed to his Youtube feeds since it was posted here. The fella is immense and it's so good to see it move, I had a worry that the whole thing would just fail totally.
The world needs more people like him :)

These videos are immense!

I've never known anyone pull so many facial expressions! lmao

I've seen every single video of his ( I watched all of them over a 1 week period). He is pretty awesome. I wish I had that kind of motivation and energy!
