My name is Jamie, and I've decided to build a giant robot

2bit I recommend you watch the vids where he builds the log cabin, and the one where he constructs the road to his property. Thats some serious hard labour.
 
Well i got hooked, ive been watching his videos all afternoon.
I wonder how long it will be before he gets a slot on TV? Also something great i notice is that he doesnt swear much, thats a rare talent in itself.

Amazing stuff - what an inventive guy. I find him pretty likable in a mad scientist kinda way. Just wait until the US Govt wants his robot.
The world needs more people like him :)

He'd do well on something like Mythbusters.
 
Watched up to episode 10 last night. Loving it so far and looking forward to watching the rest of them. I would consider myself as someone who can turn their hand to most things, but this guy is inspirational. Makes me want a mountain, plenty of time and most importantly; his skills and ingenuity!
 
I'm up to episode 13. Quite a cool show! I don't want to jump ahead and risk spoiling anything, so can someone tell me how "giant" this robot ends up being? Right now it's only looking like it'll be about 2 metres tall.

The guy in the video, clearly does not do it for a living but no doubt has many talents elsewhere better than your neighbour.

He's like some semi-genius mad man. :D
 
I wasn't comparing, just explaining why he cringed. But, like I said, he got over it quickly. And Jaimie is improving as it goes. Up to episode 36 now. You're right - his improvisations are just incredible, as well as his humour and great attitude! :)


edit: Ep 37, 05:25 - 05:55 had me rolling. "It wasn't a staring contest you crazy robot!" :D :p

What is it with people rushing to be critical of this guy? Epsecially those who have spent more time trying to find fault than they have spent watching the first vid....
