No more long queues at the bar!

No more long queues at the bar!

The thing that causes the queues are all the inconsiderate morons who get their drinks and then hang around at the bar talking. It's like "you've got your drink, now get out of the way!!". :p

This!
Arrrrgh it drives me mad!!! particularly as I'm a girl as I can't barge my way in so easily and I get knocked about :(

That's what I like about Revolution in Clapham. If you sit behind the bar there are small openings where you can just poke your head through and order a drink hehe :D

Or do what I did on Christmas Eve and leave the card behind the bar and set up a tab, 5 drinks, 1 payment quicker than paying 5 times by cash. ;)

That's ok if you have a local you can trust but I wouldn't leave my card with anywhere that i've been to drink in the last 5 years.

In reply to payments being the thing that makes queues long: why don't places bring out 'payment card / chip on wristband' style payments. You pay money onto a card/chip somewhere else in the bar, you then goto bar and order drinks, pay by swiping/scanning.
Makes things a lot easier

Beer served in a plastic cup just the way I like it :p

Wouldn't that just create a queue somewhere else, and therefore not really sort the queue issue.

Longer bars is what are needed 200 or even 300 metres long would be the ticket.

Never mind that video.. What exactly were you watching before you fell upon this!!

Just look at the vids surrounding that one. :D

4 beers are poured in the same time it is to pour a normal beer as you dont need to tilt/hold the glass and monitor the level. It stops automatically.

Fast food restaurants have been doing that with soft drinks from the top for a long time. I don't see how it's an improvement going from the bottom.
