*****Ultimate Football Manager 11*****

Three of my main senior strikers have gone off injured for upto 6 weeks one game after the other :( I wonder if the training regime plus difficult lone role has taken the toll, just have Kadlec left who doesnt seem very well suited to a lone role, and a slow 32 year old heskey :( there I was thinking nothing could go wrong with the amount of strikers I had...
 
I got the game a couple of weeks ago through Steam and have managed to get Ipswich promoted in my first season winning the championship with 102 points.

Transfers;
Petar Zanev £35k (good signing for the money)
Kyle Walker loan (great loan signing)
Leigh Griffiths £250k (bargain buy - top scorer 21 goals, 9 assists)
Jay De Merit £0 (been solid at the back - although McAuley has been better)

January additions;
Gabriel Obertan loan
Andrien Regattin loan
Jonjo Shelvey loan

I've got my eye on a couple of players, but can anyone recommend some good signings for my newly promoted team (will need to be good value obviously). A good CB, Left winger, CM, RB.

Look for regens, and buy on 48month deals, makes your budget go a lot further, and sets you up in the PL.

I get bored after 3 seasons as well generally, when real life players tend to be on the decline and you begin getting random youngsters and silly regens becoming as good as Messi / Ronaldo.

On a side note, just won the league :) Was a point behind going in to the last game but Man United had Chelsea away and they lost 3-0, I am a happy panda!
 
Just started playing as Spurs and qualified for the Champions League groups after beating Sampdoria 8-8 on away goals :eek: Then thrashed West Brom 5-0 with a Ledley King hatrick :D

Only bought one player - Park Ji Sung. Got him pretty cheap from Man Und. I've actually been playing him as a wing-back after a series of injuries and he's great. His tacking stats are pretty good, so I'm now re-training him and think he will become a really useful utility player.
 
Playing as West Ham in 3rd Season, 1st Season i came 5th, 2nd i came 4th won league cup and had a decent Uefa Cup run. Im currently 5th out both League and FA Cup but beat Barcelona in the 1st knockout round of Champions League, i won 4-0 at home and lost 3-2 away with a man sent off. I got Juventus next.

Oh and just got Ivory Coast job, drew 2-2 vs Ghana away 1st game.
 
Ive got a problem, when i go to play my match and submit by team it says i need to select a keeper and a captain, ive picked a whole team, all my tactics have reverted back to a standard 4-4-2.
 
Has anyone came across this - I've unemployed after a stint at Tottenham and Chelsea and just lost Ancelotti to Barcelona, they offer me the job but they want to offer me £25k a week however I can't accept due to "board restrictions" the minimum the board want to offer is £62,000 a week but if I select this they reject it and try and offer me £25k again something it won't let me accept!! Argghhh

I feel for you there. I work for Rangers for £1 a week :D.
 
Pastore won't join me, nor will Paloschi, rather annoying. Bought Lukaku and Otamendi this year and got rid of a lot of dead wood (Bassong, Keane, Woodgate) last year. Otamendi is even better than last year's FM lol, ridiculous stats. Lestienne is getting better too which is nice :)
 
End of second season review

So my 4-2-3-1 that dominated last year just didnt click this season Dzeko could not hit a barn door so i had to abandon it as i lost 3 games on the bounce i had to make a foramtion that could partner with Dzeko. Suprisngly Defoe stepped up the plate and managed to score 35 goals in half a season :D

I won the Europ Supercup, Community shield, World club championship, League cup premier league and FA cup

Signings this year were

Shawcross
Rodwell
Hazard
De Gae

Ryan Shawcross proved to be the best buy scoring 14 headers for me. He also won english player of the year. I have Pato coming at the start of the season for a free teansfer but im not dropping defoe witht he form he has had
