Tempted by Eve as I've fancied trying it and also Cities XL 2011 although the older one seems a better punt at £4 odd, is Serious Sam worth buying?

I tried the ME2 demo on PS3 before deciding to get it on PC or not. The main characters voice annoyed me too much for it to be a possible purchase.
I bought Serious Sam in one of the previous deals, I think. I remember quite liking it when it first came out but part of me found going back to this old title a bit disappointing, plus for some reason it was very stuttery, jerky - though I haven't yet bothered to find a fix for this. However, for £2.99 I'd say it's still worth it.

ME2 is so much better on PC then some cack console! the graphics are so life like its scary!
well it does on max settings with my 5870! just have to force AA thru CCC and it looks amazing!
also i like the mouse click (herioc) decisions u have to make in ME2 and as u said the story aint as good in ME2 but i like all the character development and how much they are all different and learning about there backgrounds etc!
in my eyes its a perfect game!

I'm under no illusion that the PC version will be infinitely better, but I played the PS3 demo because I wanted to see how it played and what the story and characters were like.

Did you try both the male and female voices? I very much prefer the female one. Or was there even a choice in the demo, I don't know...

Strange.
Tomb Raider wouldn't start for me. Other games like Saints Row 2 load instantly, but this sets up the game, and then comes up with the "launching" screen, and then that disappears. Odd to say the least... I've deleted the local game content and redownloading... it wouldn't even verify? O.o

I think steam has been in overdrive mode and is bugging a little. It seems to be downloading even though its showing as paused. Almost at 100%
if u like paradox games, they have the whole mega pack for £30, at 92% off
Well, went for just Mirror's Edge today, as I really don't need any more games - I have far too much to get through as is (although I'd like the GOTY edition of Fallout 3 too).
Thankfully, I've nobody to play Killing Floor with.

Heh heh, I know that feeling alright. In my case, the couple of guys I used to game with all the time are currently unemployed. I'm not sure about those specific games, but I stopped Games For Windows Live from running via msconfig. When I did that it wouldn't let me play games like F1 2010 or GTA4, I would click them in Steam, it'd tell me they were launching, my icon in Steam would go from blue to green to say I was in a game, then back to blue again and nothing would happen. I had to re-enable GFWL so I dunno if that's part of your problem, probably not but hey.
