Well just out of interest how many times have you started the game on its hardest and given up due to frustration or getting to the point were its not enjoyable?

Games I Defeated:-

MW1/2 Veteran
Gears 2 Insane (Co-Op)
Halo 3 Legendary
Medal of Honour

Games I Lost To:

COD:Black Ops - Turned into me wanting to throw pad out of window.
Gears 1 Insane

One im close to giving up on:

Transformers : War For Cybertron. (Finished Decepticons Story but struggling on Autobots)

Thats all of what i can currently remember

EDIT: Just a note i dont mean given up and never played again i mean as in you turned diff down to medium etc

I haven't quit a game because it was too hard, but I did stop playing Fallout 3. I was trying to get the steel ingots and I also needed to do the achievements which were level specifi, I just couldn't be arsed with the grind so I gave up.

Batman AA: Combat Challenges - managed to get 16 or so medals can't do any better than that.

Medal of Honor Tier One mode

Halo 2 PC - I struggled on normal tried legendary, yet I've completed every other halo game on legendary.

Wolfenstein - Admitted the game wasn't even worth playing after non stop bugs was gutted tried to love it after RTCW.

gave on modern warfare 2 on veteran on the "takedown" mission at the part where you drop down from a wall into a village and get ambushed all around, i got part the way through and just thought hell with this.

gave up on ninja gaiden sigma on the easiest setting lol, got to the airship level and gave up after that.

Batman AA: Combat Challenges challe

I gave up on the combat challenges also

Only other games i can think of recently are fallout3 and final fantasy XIII but that was because they were no longer fun not because of difficulty

I must admit though i tend not to play games on the top difficulty on the first playthrough and recently havent played through a game a.second time for quite a while.

Never but I may do soon as I cant beat this stupid last boss on Lost Planet 1. Even after his energy hits zero and I slice him, he still wont die and I do instead:(

I had to lower the difficulty on COD black ops but thats because its bugged.

Also Bioshock 2 , I had to lower the difficulty when protecting those little girls when they are harvesting Adam and you have to fend off wave after wave of Splicers.

No it's because you're crap at the game :p

I completed it on Veteran just fine, apart from that goddamn level where you have to stab the barrels. Stupid barrels, I don't wanna stab a barrel, you stab a barrel. :(

Tales of Vesperia - I did the content to get the Fel Arms (strongest weapons in the game) unfortunately it requires that you beat an additional, third form of the final boss, which is much harder than the normal 2 required to beat the game. Unfortunately the characters on my save game are far to low level to beat this third form easily, and the idea of spending a few hours grinding to beef them up bored me. So it's just been left gathering dust til i cba to do it.

Ninja Gaiden 2 - Again got to the final stretch of the game, but it has about 3 bosses in a row, so by the time i get to the final boss any extra health/extra lives i have are used up by the first two before i reach the final one. Annoyingly hard to beat.

Valkyria Chronicles 2 - Almost completed it, but i've been stuck on the monthly story missions a number of times, at which point i've abandoned the game for a few days at a time.

Batman AA - got ****ed off with the last boss so never finished it.
Black ops - got bored of the campaign quite quickly.
Doritos crash course - got to level 4 on japan and after getting stuck on the same part for about 20 mins,it was either turn it off or throw my pad at the wall!

I could cope with it pretty well on Veteran it was just that part when you were in the corridor. The level progressed when your team moved along the corridor but they never did they just stayed where they were so endless enemys spawned and handed my ass to me with my Hat countless times. :p

It sure gave me game Rage. lol

Hah! Yeah I know the part you're on about, I hated that bit too. Tbh I found this pretty tough, MW2 was a piece of cake on Veteran, this was just pure rage inducing at times. :(

I almost quit at that point as well rest of the game was a breeze compared to that level.

That Doritos game was wicked I didn't find it too hard just need a bit of practice.

The only game that makes me mad when I lose is Fifa. Fortunalty I am getting better at it and losing a lot less these day. Fifa rage is intense.

NEVER!! Only time I've stopped playing a game is due to becoming bored. Difficulty isnt a reason for me, I will play over and over and over until I manage what I'm currently failing at. I also up difficulty if i find games too easy or without challenge. I always remember playing fallout 3 on whatever the hardest mode is, inorder to get more XP. Mirelurks and deathclaws are without a doubt one of the most frustrating things in the world when they're given a difficulty boost. But its all about tactics......and saving before deathclaw encounters =P
