Missing Bristol woman confirmed murdered

Crime of passion I think, boyfriend outta town, pizza at another house as above, murdered and whoever did it went to her flat and put keys, coat phone etc there to throw off the scent, not thinking about a random tesco recipt

Very sad time of year to happen for the family

Why two shops? Well the Tesco was on her way home, perhaps she went to Waitrose but was put off by the higher prices and thought "Sod it, I'll go to Tesco and get one of their Finest range pizzas, it's next to my place anyway".

Because everyone knows that Waitrose is on the way into Clifton from the centre and it's always worth going in to do a lap of the aisles to bargain spot :p

as a bristol local, the route she took doesnt really make sense unless she couldnt find what she wanted in waitrose. that tesco is the nearest one to canynge road, the waitrose is the most sensible one along the route from the pub she was at.

So in all likelihood, waitrose didnt have what she wanted.

do we know if she travelled by car or walked?

i've said all long the keys/phone/coat were probably planted there by the murderer after the murder to decieve the police. unlucky for him he forgot the pizza?

That's a bit too close to home for comfort. Poor lass :(

I don't think it'll put me off moving to Clifton though.

edit: The conjecture that she was killed by her boyfriend is thoroughly out of order. He'll be feeling rough enough without people accusing him of this.

its sad, and there is some nutter on the loose, but I hate the fact that everyone jumps on the grief wagon, the press must be loving this!

yes really, the press will milk the grief pony dry

Well I think it's quite understandable that this story had upset people and it's obvious why it is in the public interest.

If you don't want to read the news stories or this thread, no one is forcing you too.

I just fail to understand although this is a sad situation why everyone has to jump on the bandwagon, as happens so much in this country, someone has been murdered yes, but do we all need to cry about it ?

My sister shops at that tescos for lunch, understandably she's nervous about returning to work. Her workplace is going to start some procedure where everyone is walked to their cars.

expected news and very sad. The fact she made it home and no struggle/break in to me would make me thin, it's someone she knows, jealous person. All speculation and will have to wait and see.
My Mum and I share this thinking. We knew once it became national news that she was missing that she'd be found dead. We also think its someone known to her who was able to approach her and abduct her with little signs of a struggle.

Whilst i'm sure they have the best intentions - is there any point?

If there's a serial killer - it's unlikely they'd strike so soon after this - and come 2-3 weeks and they've not found the killer, would they still be doing this?

Oh jesus, one murder reported on Sky News to fill in the slow news over Christmas and people start going OTT, Do you know how many murders happen that you don't know about.

Living in that area she was killed does make it more personal and frightening, because you feel it could have happened to anyone. If someone from your road was abducted from their house and killed I imagine you'd be pretty shocked and upset too.
