Guess I should join this club aswell, the cars gonna be lookign a little different soon, lowered and a ducktail and a GV lip for the front.Ive also got some new runabout mirrors. I really have got to stop spending money on it, ive driven it about a mile since november, really is a waste:(

I came very close to buying a white MX-5. The white exterior with that leather brown interior looks great, especially de-tangoed! Any chance of more interior shots? :)

I think we should have an OcUk hairdressers meet-up as suggested previously, would love to have a nose round other MX-5s :D.
 
Its still work in progress, as im just converting the centre gear surround to a carpeted retro style. I really like the white as it looks so nice when its clean, and its quite rare round by me.

Your car is awesome. Didn't you get it at a really good price too, like £700 or something daft?
 
It was £300 but needed a new rear plastic panel and a light, even had tax and test at that price! Most definately a bargaintastic motor.

Lovely thing is that most of the bits ive upgraded havent really cost me much, as ive managed to sell them on at a profit.
 
I am in two minds constantly. Add a SC to my MK2 1.8iS or sell it and get an S2000.....

Do you have a super elite property portfolio or do you need to kick-start the acquisition of some prime elite real estate, that is the main question that needs to be answered before considering the outlay of either a new car or performance enhancement.

Hell yeah, a real once in a lifetime bargain, that said, its looking like it may need a bit of patching up on the sill, but luckily the old fella is a dab hand with the mig! apart from the water pump and rad going, it really hasnt cost me a penny to run, and I did do a good 8-9k in all weathers last year, so it was driven.

I have a fully paid for scabby flat with two rooms, one of which I rent to my best friend at a reasonable price, but £200 a month will not fund an S2000 or SC conversion any time soon sadly. Are you suggesting I stick with my Mk2 until I have an empire similar to DiamondMarks?
 
Well I can get the leather for the instrument surround but im worried about it getting a bit too tan. Next mod are some proper AWD dials, but they are silly silly money!

Its the ducktail and GV lip im most moist about at the mo, I painted the ducktail boot and I was nursing a semi for a while....:eek:

Sadly its in terrible condition. Needs a new hood, needs the paintwork refreshing and a front wing and door replacing. On the plus side it has a torsen LSD (1.8iS).

With my seemingly large amount of disposable income at the moment, I plan to get it all tidied up, get it sitting on some nice wheels and enjoy it while its slow once my ban is over. Mini super charger may be added insurance pending, although I have 0 hope of that after a drink driving ban :(
 
I get to join you gayers as I own a gay car like you lot where my roof comes off and my silver hair can wave around in the breeze :eek:
 


I like to pretend it still looks like this. Sadly, it doesn't really. I'm saving up to race them so the road car has just had to get by after it's accident. I think I'm likely to buy a nice minter come next winter and convert this one into a rough + ready track car or sell it.
