New epic 11 foot desk of win. Solid oak worktop, weighs in at about 100kg. I need to cut some holes for cables and set everythinng up but it looks alright imo

Dam, solid piece of wood that, shame you have to cut holes in it, but needs must, i'd lok into some of these "popup" integrated power points that you find in desks in hotels etc, they are pretty neat and usually contain network hook up points too, and look tidy, whilst leaving easy access for connecting portable stuff like your laptop....

btw, love that minimalist keyboard

Cut the holes out today and got everything on there, although none of my underdesk lighting or USB extension cables came so I can't finish properly yet.



The coping saw got tiresome after a while so we brought out a classic technique

Thanks for the keyboard info - them not as expensive as i thought they would be, i take it there is no issue using it with a windows OS machine ?

I had to grab a driver someone made (can't remember where from) because apple use the @ key as Shift+2 and the speech marks where the @ would be on a windows keyboard.

ohhhh. So all apple keyboards have the american layout? I didn't realise that

dunno ... usually the US layout has a half size enter key compared to what we are used to, look here.... British_and_American_keyboards


EDIT:
It looks like apple have bastardised it completely, this is a mix between US international, British and something wacky not related to any of them
