Some really nice set ups In here!

Can anyone recommend me a nice desk which is at least 175cm long and a nice comfortable chair all for under £200?

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words, gentlemen!

Cables, well. Behind the drawers are some cables, and as for the computer well there are no cables yet, but I can't see it being much of a mess. You may notice the cables go underneath the skirting board. Due to a mistake when measuring how thick the carpet would be and over compensating on the height of the skirting board, it has given me quite a nice place to tuck all my wires hahaha.

I don't have much separate gear which helps. On Mac side is just the Mac (1 power lead) and the external HDD (1 power lead). On computer side it will again just me two power leads. The rest of the cable I will end up sticking to the underside of my desk either with tape or with some hooks.

I love the contrasting chair colours to match the setups :D

LOL I see it. Not intentional though I might add. The cream chair is getting a bit worn, so might get another cream one as my main and use the current cream one as the secondary (it would only get used when a friend comes round and uses the desk space). The black is just temporary from the spare room as its no longer needed there. Was instead of me wearing down the dining room chairs :D

lovely setup smogsy!

where did you get the square black DVD shelves from? they look perfect for what i want?

hmmm, that printer spoils the look somewhat, i'd hide that in one of those drawers :D or turn one of them into a flap/drop down type front with the printer on a slide out tray

I agree with you, but I've found I've been constantly changing and moving stuff around the room. Because it's a wireless printer I was going to put it in the cupboard, but it's full up at the moment so can't.

Anyway after using the computer for 10 minutes I think I'm going to get rid of it, and leave that space on my desk to play Playstation, have a friend round using their laptop or a place for drawing etc. I'm far too much of a Mac convert to enjoy myself, seeming I don't game "hardcore" any more and all my games I do play can run on the iMac.

Cabling is untidy because it took about 1 minute to wire up and turn on lol.

Damn lol good in theory though lol

Those Malm drawers are pretty deep too, didn't think there'd be much that'd be too deep for them badboys lol

It slots in well enough, its the fact it's a bit too tall for them.

They don't handle much weight though.

I had this lot in there:

then found yesterday I couldn't close the drawer because the bottom had detached itself from the drawer itself because of the weight lol.
