No. That's an Apple UK layout. The Apple US layout is different again.

It looks like apple have bastardised it completely, this is a mix between US international, British and something wacky not related to any of them
Apple have not bastardised anything.
What you guys are assuming to be a standard UK keyboard is the IBM Extended UK layout which is natively supported by DOS/Windows. Apple were designing and building computers, software and peripherals before the IBM compatible PC/Wintel box ever existed. Both layouts have subtly changed over the years so they're similar in some ways and not in others. If you don't like the compromise then don't buy the Apple keyboard - it's not primarily intended for use on Windows.
