Mass Effect 2 on the PS3

LOL, he's just got occular implants. I don't read anything sinister in that. :D But yes, I'm sure there will be something going on in part 3.

I cant believe this is full price on the PS3 when it can be had on 360 new for £8. You think they would have revised the price to reflect that its a port of a year old game...

you think the RRP of a new release with added content should take into account the leftover year old 360 stock that has caused low prices ?

played demo its not too bad i guess. Though from what i see its cutdown from the first mass effect. (less skills, no inventory).

Zero screen tearing.

Ha, this game just gets more amazing. I thought I'd played ME2 to death but I seemed to have overlooked the vanguard class. How cool is that charge thing when you can super-leg it to an enemy and ram in to them? Not sure how usefull it will be in the heat of combat as I'm only just doing the beginning of the PS3 demo...

Played the demo today, and thought it was very mediocre :(

After ever 360/PC owner raving about the game and being an RPG fan I can't believe how average it is. It was going to be my first purchase next year but I think I'll pick up something else and leave this to drop in price.

So out of interest what exactly didnt you like? As to me the game is perfect! :D

The first one just didn't grip me at all. I found it boring to play. I got to the Citadel, forced myself through a number of storyline missions but just completely lost interest.

It is highly regarded, which is why I bought the second one a while back in hope it would get me into the series, but I still haven't played it yet.

It felt like a 5 year old game, the movement was wooden and stiff, graphics OK but very inconsistent and the RPG elements seemed very shallow.

I'm sure it get's better beyond the demo, but I couldn't really connect with the game in anyway to say it will be great.

Well i cant judge graphics on PS3 yet as i finished the 360 version and found them pretty dam good but im hearing ps3 has screen tearing. Movement i thought was fine, The game isnt the deepist of RPG elements but then again neither was the first.

All id say is borrow a friends copy if possible and play past demo as it does get allot better.

TBH chances are that I will probably get it around release, I think I was just expecting a lot more from the demo...

With so many decent games arriving in Jan I'm currently torn and to which one I will purchase upon release and was really hoping the demo would cement my decision, but alas it hasn't.

pretty much agree with Edz. Its more dumbed down from the first one. Though the shooty elements are better and so are the graphics.

I'm hoping the story is epic (what else is all the GOTY votes for?) - main reason im getting it. Definetely wouldnt call it an RPG though......
