anyone play age of conan nowadays?

Ive been reading up on both and it seems conan has got a quite a few new players and whilst it was awful at launch its improved a great deal, im not sure about WAR though.

I would have picked up Age of Conan, had it of been free to play.

I got the Age of conan special edition and also got warhammer... i got a good bit of playtime out of both and now have never been back. I guess from what i have read its pointless and best left to just being good memories.
Its WoW only for me now till something better comes along.

Just wondering is the game populated at all, ive been told its quite improved over when it was released, so im giving the trial ago
Depends, I am reliably informed that the game is massively improved in just about every way, however, for me, I was so dissapointed by the massive difference between what the game was, and what was promised to us pre launch that I just cannot stomach going back, because it just makes me think of what could have been, however, if you were not caught up in the pre launch hype, and want a new mmo to try, and dont mind a fair bit of instancing, then yes, definitely give it a go.
War is still a horrible game, AoC on the other hand has really improved its nothing like the game it was on release runs nicely loads of quests, yes I did re sub for a bout 3 months, not playing it now.
I would say had the game being like it now on release it would still have the millions who bought it playing it.
But cant see them ever getting back the numbers they had, well unless they go F2P.
But WaR I found to be just bad as it was, I do not think that game has improved at all

That all depends on what you're looking for. WAR is nowadays a brilliant game to get into if you have a mate on vent and plan on PvP'ing for a couple of months, after that it gets stale.
On Topic, i keep thinking about going back but i never do as my guild and pretty much everyone else left the server i played on, Tyranny.
bah dont think i can get into it, decent graphics and good performance,
But interface is pretty awful and complicated, wtf is with the combat system?
Shame as whislt creating a character and everything i was getting excited that ive found a new good mmo, its really not

What do you mean what is with the combat? Much of the reason I like the game is because it dared to be different with it's combat, if you tell me what is wrong with the interface I can explain it a bit, although I can't really think what your stuck on, the interface is really just your standard MMO fare.
Fury if PvP & Crom if PvE
I ran guilds on both those servers on Fury its called the Immortals ( still going under new leadership) and ~Broken Promise~ on Crom (think it could be dead now)
