Yeah, not too much though luckily. Was thinking about Xmas dinner in HK but ended up not bothering with that and having steamboat in Guangzhou at night instead :D I like HK , been there 5-6 times so far but seems very expensive since I've been in Malaysia :o

Officially I'm here on a tourist visa and just do some work from home ... been staying here since March :)
 
Just going round my local town which is still pretty good but im Not going into the city as its far to much money for a night which tends to be over rated.

Ahh yeh, HK is bloody expensive. I am making my get away from here after my work permit expires back to UK, find that here you need to be a lawyer or investment banker to live comfortably... Rent is just so expensive, even in the sticks of HK :(
 
House party at a mates for me, it tends to be what I do these days for Hogmanay - I figure if I'm going to be surrounded by drunken idiots it might as well be people I like. It's also not so ridiculously overpriced as going out would be.

Yeah, I considered staying there for a while but the reasonable sized flats are a joke at the price they charge. Here I pay £300 a month for a newly built studio flat which is not bad :)

Went to grab 2 ice coffees somewhere in Causeway Bay with a friend .. came to like HKD60. Here in the local places I pay RM3 (around HKD6) for the same :eek:
 
No plans as it stands. The lynch-pin of our social circle works offshore on the rigs, and this year it just so happens that he's spending New Year offshore, so the guy that normally does the organising hasn't, and things have kind of fallen through. That said, I'm single and I don't have that big a circle of friends. That's one thing I'm going to have to change in 2011. (Foreveralone.jpg etc...)

I do however have 12 friends to keep me company tonight, in the form of a Wychwood Brewery sampler pack. 3 bottles of Scarecrow, 3 bottles of Hobgoblin, 3 bottles of Goliath and 3 bottles of Wychcraft. :D

Oh yeah they are well rubbish, I live about 45 minutes on the bus from central, near Shatin area. And my rent of a ****ty tiny badly layed out flat is 100quid more then my old flat in Bristol, which was about 3 times larger! Oh and this is after a "suicide discount" too...

And the layout of flats is so terrible here too! Well its ok, 9 months left for me, then I am out of here. Do not like! Coming to Malaysia sounds tempting!
 
Same as. Put the kids to bed, play BC2/Vietnam with a few cans. Watch telly for a bit with the missus. In bed by 11. Yeah.
 
Roasting a bone-in fore rib of Black Gold beef as we speak to go with all the usual trimmings, a nice bottle of Barolo and a Cartmel Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert.

Will then watch Jools Holland with the missus and have a few more glasses of Barolo...
 
Big fancy dress at the island pub - literally the only place to go on NYE! Usually an amazing night, everyone makes an effort, but I've come down with this bug. Still have to go out, but won't be enjoying it
 
Staying in probably. Most of my friends are going clubbing, and i hate hte music. shoulda bought some whiskey or cider :o

Also got Dead Rising 2 from Swapgame today, should be fun whilst drunk!

The scattering of friends I have left in Edinburgh are all doing different things, so I shall be spending my night wandering the streets between parties with a sack full of beers and whisky :p
