3 10yr old pregnant every year !!!

Like crime, you can't stop it.

BUT I do think they need to teach more about sex education in schools.

Just looking back at the cartoons that were on when I was 10, there was Tom and Jerry (still on), cow and chicken and a few others.

Now its Drake and Josh and Hannah Montanna.

You got people like Katy Perry singing stuff like " You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream, the way you turn me on" When I was 10-12 I'm pretty sure songs and music videos like this did not exist.

I know this may sound silly but I really do think music videos and what pop stars wear influence what young teens wear and how they behave.

would you let your child watch lady gaga music video. In particular Alejandro

This video sexualizes kids, the government need to prevent this fag ****

If it was a 10 year old, hence my earlier ponderings upon the average age of the fathers involved in this. Bet its not 10.

It's a fair enough point. but at which age then are you suggesting parents aren't to blame for their kids actions?

Lixxus is no doubt right in what he says that some parents are bad. Ways of the world. But to make a sweeping statement assumming every parent is bad without any thought into it & the complexities is another matter. & that is what the original post was about.

GUYS CHILL.

Its simply down to her\his lack of knowledge of sex. The school curriculum needs to go over sex more thoroughly and the consequences of having a child. Blame the schools and parents not the kids.

I'm not altogether certain that the sex education does all that much anyway, i've worked in education for decades now and I have known a lot of teens who have fallen pregnant. In almost all of those the teens knew full well what the results of their actions were going to be, most fell pregnant not because they didn't realise but because they wanted to.

( should also add to that , its secondary age teens I'm referring to, not 10 year olds, also most of them had older teen sisters who themselves had fallen pregnant which I am also sure is a factor. On top of that it will vary from region to region )

I wasn't suggesting anything about parental blame, was just airing again my pondering on the fathers ages and my suspicions that they were "older"

Perhaps now & then no-one is to blame & "natural" experiments (even by the young) happen sometimes.

stuff like this happens because of bad parenting. it's not meant to happen at 10 years old. are you seriously saying my attitude towards this is what's wrong with this country? i can't take you seriously. ''stuff happens'' , this isn't ''stuff'', this is purely unacceptable and bad parenting.

Yes, I do think your attitide is causing lots of harm and it's a great part of what's wrong with the country.

No matter what happens in our society we look for someone to blame.

We select them and villify them. They are the cause of all ills, everything else is ignored. We attack them in every way that we can, we mock them, we try to financially attack them. Then we move on to the next subject.

Everything has a cause, and someone is always to blame.

In Scotland we had an immense amount of snow fall, which was against (at least the BBC from the night before) the forecast. It started at 9am exactly on a Monday morning. The roads weren't gritted, and around my area of Scotland we were at a standstill for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

It was a freak weather event, everything was "right" for it to go wrong. The Transport Minister for Scotland ended up resigning, since the media and public decided he was to blame.

It was the worst weather for 30 years in my area. Instead of just getting on with it people are saying the council don't have enough gritters and ploughs, and that we weren't prepared and it was his fault.

If we listened to the media and public then we'd have fleets of useless gritters and ploughs to maintain year after year until we get the one or two days like we had again.

There's prison riots on just now, I've not looked into that news story in any great detail. But BBC news seems to be just trying to work out who is to blame.

Again, somtimes horrible things happen. We can't prevent them all. We can try to prevent as much as we can, and make sure we are prepared for when the worst happens, but we can't stop everything all of the time.

"Lets have some fun this beat is sick, I wanna take a ride on your disco stick"

Kids listen to this stuff.

Also

[Chorus: 50 Cent & Olivia]
[50 Cent]
I'll take you to the candy shop
I'll let you lick the lollipop
Go 'head girl, don't you stop
Keep going 'til you hit the spot (woah)

I would prefer that my kids were educated and open-minded about homosexuality, rather than semi-literate homophobes.

we are talking about 10 year old children getting pregnant here, not the weather. your .... i can't even call it a point but whatever it is, it's null and void.

That is quite bad, but at least people know that 50 cent is a rapper and has dirty lyrics, that kind of genre does have dirty phrases/ intentions.

However what Katy Perry sings about (melting Popsicles and laying naked on a cloud), and attaching whipped cream guns to her breasts

I'm sorry that your ears have to put up with this but skip to the last 40 seconds, you will see what I mean.

Tell me that you would want your kids to see that.

1 nil to lixxus here. Katy Perry is being seductive to a bloke (I hope? & me?). 50 cent sounds like a paedo seducing kids in a sweet shop.

I heard this on lbc radio today, was absolutely disgusted.

What is wrong with Britain and teenage pregnancy.

Who is to blame and what can be done to fix this.

My opinion is the parents to blame, they need to go on courses and learn to raise a child. but perhaps raise themselfs first.

Also I believe the media has a big role in influencing kids also the digital age has deeply affected the younger generation as they are becoming sexualized at a early age.
