Pete Postlethwaite has died.

ill always remember him for his skills of bringing Obadiah Hakeswill to life in the Sharpe series. RIP sir and lets hope your death brings on a decent string of film tributes on TV.

RIP, great actor. Shame the last film I saw him in was a turkey :(

(Clash of the Titans)

Get your rest, Gentlemen. The boat will be ready for you on Friday. If I see you or any of your friends before then, Miss. Finneran will find herself the victim of a most gruesome violation before she dies. As will your father, Mr. Hockney. and your Uncle Randall in Arizona, Mr. Kint. I might only castrate Mr. McManus's nephew, David. Do I make myself clear?

Your name intrigues me. Is it a reference to the opera? Or are you a fool? :p I always remember the references to Parsifal in the (epic) book by Robert Littell, 'The Company'.

Anyway sorry, back on topic!

Reference to the knight in the Arthurian grail legend that the opera is based on.

RIP!

Great actor, I last saw him in "The Town". Thought he was pretty good in that. He will be missed!

RIP Pete, I will always remember you in Brassed Off and as Mr Kobayashi.

Was watching Inception last night which reminded me he was in that then awoke this morning to this sad news.

Yikes!
Such sad news.. *sigh*

Probably first remember him in the role of Obadiah Hakeswill, likely saw him in other things, but Hakeswill was the first that I really remember..

Oh well, Rest well, rest peacefully..
