The Ashes 2010-11: Australia v England ** spoilers **

The text commentary on the BBC is bloody awesome
Yeah, it's great to have Ben Dirs back again. He's easily my favourite of all the text commentators and comes out with some legendary stuff. The banter on there is equally as brilliant and there's some recurring in-jokes that crease me up time and time again.

My favourite quote from yesterday's commentary:

Ben Dirs said:
GOT HIM! Hughes fencing at a rising delivery from Tremlett and Collingwood takes a simple catch above his head at third slip - bigger than jungle, and jungle is massive...

And in other news; bye-bye, Smith!

8 down without really breaking a sweat.

Hope I don't tempt fate but it's always that little bit sweeter to bowl a side out without them getting a half century. :D

C'mon ladies let's clean them up for 210 and be done with it.

JUST BOWL STRAIGHT HE'S ABSOLUTE PONY grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Good point from the 'agony and ecstasy', why don't they show that little square in the top left part of the screen any more? I mean, where a batsman hits a slow one and they're sprinting back and forth for their runs.

Edit - slightly expensive over from Swann.

This match is looking like a much closer affair. I didn't see KPs shot but I'm guessing it was another needless swipe when his team needed him to stay in? Hopefully Colly, Bell and Prior will get plenty of runs.

Bell is due a score, he has played brilliantly so far and not made a century.

I feel a bit sorry for him really, there has been as many runs as you want available for all our batters in this series except Bell who's been stuck with the tail on most occasions. I know that tail isn't anywhere near as bad as it used to be but if he was higher in the order he'd be racking them up by now.

And when the runs were really for the taking the top order got greedy and didn't allow anyone else to play :)

Hughes looked like he knew he didn't catch it, Haddin looked like he knew it wasn't a catch, it was Clarke that went up like a warm tin of Fosters.
