***The Official Gran Turismo 5 Thread***

Sorry Zonda R yer. Max it with around 900 odd bhp and daytonas easy. Indi took a couple of goes but did it, max the rear downforce and set your gears to 236 or maybe a touch higher. :)

Done Like the wind, at a cost of just £64k spent doing up my Zonda. Set my gears to a max 0f 267 (?), hitting about 255 at times.

Down to the last level of B-Spec remaining now, but it is going to take some time. Repeating the 24h endurance is the fastest way. I'm out of a job tomorrow so B-Spec is only going to get overnight usage.

If anyone is curious, 7.5m exp required to hit the magical 40. To hell with doing that in A-Spec.

No thanks:eek: Much as I love this game, I can't see me grinding up to that sort of level. Saying that though, this is a game that I'll be playing or years yet, so I may get there one day!

it's a bit silly really a game that has an event that requires you to keep your playstation running for 24 hours, a bit demanding lol.. I don't think ill ever do that in my A-Spec

I think it calls for a day/night with friends for a 24hr race. With a power cut in the last hour lol

The focus race still makes me so mad. Just cannot catch him even using the setup from gtplanet. :(

You don't need a crazy specific tune to beat it.

The easiest way is to turn all assists off apart from Skid Recovery Force and ABS. I guess you could leave the driving line on if you want, but you probably wont lap as fast following that line than you would making your own (the driving line tends to make you brake a bit too early).

Since Skid Recovery Force gives you additional grip if you exceed the limits of the tyres, it's basically a cheat and really helps you when cornering at the limits (it also helps you on grass a ridiculous amount but there is none on that circuit).

With no TCS your car will no longer be handicapped when accelerating out of corners and you can get some proper exit speed. You need ASM to be off as well for this since that applies TCS as well.

I ran my gears at 118mph max and drafted at all available opportunities.

Running things like this I was able to overtake the lead Focus RS on the fourth lap comfortably.

If you drive smoothly and hit no walls with the assists set like this, you should be able to win it comfortably.

How gutted would you be having a power cut in the last few laps of a 24 hour race :o

That happened at my friend's place over christmas, power went off 20 hours in. Had a power cut on the first day of release that bricked my game save, thankfully I now have a back up on my pen drive.

my bobs are grinding the 60 lap endurance race right now, he can do it in 1h40m in the Formula GT, no need to be at the ps3 at any time as he laps his competition several times.

I had a level 25 go in with a level 3, the level 3 jumped from 3 to level 18 in one race, then 18 to 21, now hes 23 :) I guess that's the best way to level up your other B-spec drivers.

Also you get very little money, but a huge amount of exp, 3 races is a level up, and you dont even need to be playing.. perfect xp grind imo.
