Where to eat and stay in Brighton

this one?

One thing I am concern about is the glass door in the loo. As big a fan I am seeing a silhouette of a lady taking a shower, I am not a fan of her watching me taking a No. 2... Do you know if any room have a normal ensuite? lol

LOL, yeah I think we stayed in room 403. Right at the top, bit of a hike up and yes the wet room door might be a bit much. We managed to time No 2s right over the weekend, well as far as I still believe ladies don't do that sort of thing.

Drakes man, you know it makes sense. I can almost taste that bourbon cocktail with blueberries and orange zest...

I know, we stayed here in Rome and it was amazing. #6 out of 1,279!!!! (My sister recommended it)

so I want something of similar quality, and there is a sale on so it's only like £20 more than Jury's Inn per night.

I am still concern about that frosted glass door though!

That place you linked looks awesome, if ever I make it to Rome I'll put that on my list of hotels to check out. :)

The glass door isn't too bad in fairness, it's doesn't echo too much in there either. :D

I hope to return one day and check back into that Hotel. My sister went in August 2008 (when it was really hot) and it was "cheap" at £70 per night. I went in late November 2010, I was too lazy to look for anything else and trusted her judgment and booked it. It was £120 a night, it's gone up due to exchange rate AND August being an off season because of the heat.

I LOVE that little elevator in the building, if you ever seen (500) Days of Summer and at the end of the movie where the main character goes to that interview and uses that old elevator? It feels like that. Just big enough to fit 3 people (not fat), and if you move, the lift wobbles lol Most of the time we took the marble stairs up as its only on the 1st Floor but the lift was a nice novelty.

Anyway, will probably book the Drake, will call up tomorrow to see if I can reserve a car parking space though! It seems there are only 8 and "first come first serve"? Eeeek !

Shame you aren't down for a bit longer, still need to talk to you about some potential business ;)

Word of advice for anyone planning to stay at myhotel and ends up on the north side, close your curtains because we can see everything from the penthouse opposite :D

Lol, I'm down for 2 nights but I won't have any of my books with me (they are heavy!), but I pop to London for meetings like that now and again, just drop me an email :)

I think I'm going to book the Drake, seems it'll be worth it for that sea view.

Ok, Drake booked!

(They didn't have any sea view traditional ensuite left, only sea view is the "Yin Yang" and attic room. So booked into Yin Yang on one night and the attic room for the other for the view and balcony. Both only have one of those wet rooms and both have bath tubs in the room lol)

Oh, can anyone recommend any nice place for coffee? Rather than Starbucks, we both love coffee!
