do console games ever look better than pc to you?

Nicely left out the cost involved in the inital outlay for a rig that is highly specced enough to be THAT much more noticably better over the current gen of consoles.

you dont need to spend that much and most people have a pc anyway

if your building a pc for internet use add 200 quid to the budget and you can do it for gaming to pretty much you dont need an uber spec pc anymore

Video games have been a form of art for many years now. It all depends on the artists behind a game. Just look at the Uncharted games. The only improvement would be higher res.

as crysis developer said, consoles are holding game development now

You only have to play Crysis - which is average at best once you get over the visuals - and then something like Mario Galaxy to realise he's talking out of his bottom. Technically, maybe, but i'm more impressed by decent gameplay than by how many polygons are flying around.

Exactly. Give me Uncharted 2, MGS4 or GOd of war 3 any day of the week over the pretty generic shooters thank you. If crysis is the benchmark that PC gamers go by then I feel sorry for the platform. The Call of Duty brand is doable on console and PC, and looks great on both. Crysis is just a lazily developed game, its been said since release that it's unoptimized, and with patches and patches its still not that great.
