1st car

Wow, that's pretty stupid to think that when you suggest a car, it automatically means that you know it inside out :o

Whilst it wouldnt be reasonable to expect you to know it inside out, why suggest a car you know nothing about it?

It's suggest a car not list a car.

I dont have the Yaris no more. I owned it for 3 and a half years but wanted something a little bigger and more grown up.
I would consider getting another if it met my needs.

Please state where I have written that I know nothing about it.

I know a few owners who have had little trouble with their Polos (quite a few mates had them as first cars) and have taken a few trips in them (never driven one myself). Of course, I know nothing about it, Fox, do I? Apparently I don't know that it has a dull dash and isn't the most exciting car. Apparently I don't know anything about it at all.

No I have a Fiesta ST. I needed something a little bigger with a bigger boot and the Fiesta ticked all the boxes.

I do miss my Yaris. You might of seen it about in Bradford. It was a modded Black T Sport with tints etc nothing other the top.

Theres a red T sport in BD2 with black alloys, at least 3 Thunder grey ones as well. I see 1 Black TS on the way to work with an old guy driving it.

Where abouts? I want to spot a T-Sport Yaris!

You probably will spot it. Just past BRI. The amount of Corolla TS's I've seen recently though. Never knew those packed 200bhp!

EDIT: Nah I haven't spotted any Yaris TS's at the moment. Don't really come by them tbh.

I'll be heading down Toller Lane -> Duckworth Lane a few times in the next few days so I'll look out!

They actually only have 189bhp and the compessor has 213bhp.

Vita do you own a Yaris TS?

Ah right, I thought they had 200BHP. Maybe I mis-read somewhere.

Yeah I do own a Yaris TS, 5 door, which I found relatively hard to find. It's my first car, and the insurance is just crazy. I really did want one so bought it.

I've owned an extremely similar car to what I recommended for 2 whole years now, I wouldn't recommend it unless I thought it was the best car for the requirements, fact. The only reason you recommended both those random Polos because you got excited over the fact that they were low mileage - you can't dispute that as you made a big point of it. The point I am making is that both of those Polos are getting on a bit, each MOT is going to be a bum clencher, why do that to yourself when you can buy a car that is much newer and better equipped. The only thing so far you've pointed out is that in a head on crash, you *might* fare better, that's not even a given, how many accidents happen to fall into the exact same scenarios that ncap test in? It's just a rough idea and even at that both cars got that SAME rating. I think you've picked a random car and not really thought about it.

You can do better than a 97 1.0l 6n Polo for £1500 - plain and simple fact.

Yeah the 5 door are rare and cost more.
Dont think Ive ever seen a 5 door in Bradford.
Reason you insurance is high is cause you live in a bad area of England called Bradford.

And that I picked a Yaris T Sport for a first, and also I haven't held my licence for more then a year, and that I'm 22. And a student.

Tick all the right boxes for sky high insurance. ;)

Yes, I picked a totally random car that I've never even set foot in before, or considered any aspects of it :)
