Horlicks- the drink that is supposed to help you sleep....does it?

Surely that's false advertising if it doesn't work. I have tried it 3 nights in a row now and I still can't have a decent kip :(

The Wikipedia article says that it doesn't help you sleep, the only thing it might do is stave off hunger over night.

However it cites the Daily Fail as the source...

I understand that hot milk can aid sleep though...?

Do you have a rigid sleeping routine, with structured bedtime/wake up time? Do you get much exercise? Do you eat directly before bed? If so, what?

There's loads of factors that affect sleep, the above are just a few :)

It has no soporific effects, however it may relax you, thus allowing you to sleep easier. Unfortunately, all of the chemicals which can put you to sleep have a tendency to be addictive, or at the least have some nasty side effects. Which is why they are almost universally prescription drugs.

You're better off "having" a "night" nurse. ;)
