Were you guys never bothered by Football Manager Live? I've played it pretty much for two years, it's a very good MMO, although not with out it's faults, its certainly not in depth as FM11 but very good all the same.

Played it through Beta into Live, carried on for a while but overall just was not that good. Went back when they made all the changes and reset gameworlds, it had the same issues just with a different flavour.

Overall not anywhere near as good as FM2011 so I play that instead.

Here he is from that 2020 save I posted earlier. Obviously quite old by the time you get to then, so stats will have dropped at bit.

Anyone with any idea's how to motivate your self in the prem with a team that just shouldnt be there?? My team really isnt good enough to stay up and I really dont want to play the season out, but if I do I have a killer le champ squad and with the money I made this season and next the season after should be better....

So yeah how can I get my self through this?? :(

Just battle away - you *should* be able to survive by beating the teams around you.

It doesn't matter if you get smacked 5-0 or 6-0 away to Arsenal or Man Utd, you just need to keep your team motivated for the games (especially at home) against the teams in the lower half. So don't go hard on your team even if they lose heavily (unless it's to a rival).

Staying up isn't about beating the big sides, beat the teams around you and look to not lose against the big boys :)

I'm still top 3 at Christmas with Sheffield Wednesday in their first season in the Premier League :)

Beat Manc City 4-1 and beat Arsenal 1-0 (using my amazing 5 -5 tactic)

I've just started playing this again... Decided to play as Arsenal, but I'm only using players that are under the age of 20, I thought it would be a nice challenge. Just about to play my first league game, should be fun :D

I class games in my first season in 3 ways:

Gonna get smacked = any result is good

Might get lucky = I will get points, mainly at home

6 Pointers = Want to beat them as they will be near me in the league

Just don't be too concerned with the results against the big boys.

Its an opportunity to see which of your star championship players actually could make it. I also spend more time than at any other sending scouts out.

Cheers guys! Thought about it last night and went back to the start of pre season as the signings I made before midnight were really the wrong ones for my team (bit of star trek cleared the mind). Turns out I had forgotten to try and replace the areas I got decent loan kids with full time players for this season so iv done a typical massive plan to work out who I need :)

Now got an oversized squad and no real duff player's (so far), a few decent regen kids that havnt found their way in Germany (got loads of leagues on the go to help this) and Logan Bailly as my new keeper on a free! :D (for 30 he looks to have the experience to topple Ben Amos' control over the first choice spot).

Probably just now need to make up a decent defensive tactic and wait for the terracing to become seated at my stadium, playing at the Walkers Stadium isnt the same as my loved Pirrelli stadium...

Oh yeah half my le champ team either we're too old (some into their mid 30's now and eating my wage budget) or signed away in jan on free's as I had no wage budget to get better deals... A few guys retired as well which helped as Nyron Nosworth at 36 is not a prem player (and neither is Liam Lawrence) so it sort of is squad rebuild time and hope Matt Derbyshire stays good
