If you still want to get the red light effect you can make use of some christmas waste. I have lost of those red wrappers from the strawberry flavoured roses if you're interested

Disaster, absolute disaster. Had to give a client a freebie but she refused it saying if she didn't pay for it it would be weird and she much preferred she pay for it, so I charged her far less than normal, luckily she has already rebooked, but still, normally my days sessions go perfect, this time, not so much!

The light bulb melted the plastic bracket holding the lampshade on it! It started smoking half way through a session. Luckily I was lying on my back and it was behind over her shoulder I noticed but I must admit I did panic a bit, but seeing smoke was alarming! I could have played it more cool and carried on but I thought it might be on fire or something so I had to stop and get up and have a look. It's a shame because she really liked the red lighting ( :p to all you nay sayers!)

I wonder if I or the Ikea lampshade is at fault and I can get a new one or refund or some such. Just thought I would keep you all updated. Any questions that are personal/business related (such as Do I have any Tattoo's?! You think you recognise my room or something? If so who are you? lol) please just email me through trust, I wont be answering any nonsense or really off topic on here for obvious reasons.

What wattage is the bulb?

I suppose also because it is tinted, it may absorb light that it would otherwise have given out, heating itself up instead. Hmmm.

60W, that's a good theory. I'm going to go on Ikeas website and see if I missed it saying anything about not using it in certain ways.
 
In GD we've had 'my hamster ate my other hamster', 'do dolphins rape children?' but this is the thread that has really surprised me. My god. :o
