Anyone excited for windows phone 7?

Ah ok cool, just seems a random comment to make out the blue. If you don't like WP7 then what makes you think iOS would be any different, beaing in mind the only real difference is that it has copy and paste and a bigger app store? Obviously Android is very different so I could see the reasoning behind that choice.

I previously owned a 3gs and thought i'd take a punt on the WP7.

People seem to forget the iphone had its problems and those problems took AGES for apple to fix, picture messaging anyone? At least we're not waiting for a new model of the phone before MS release an update to fix a basic function :)

Anyway, loving the integration of WP7, can't say I miss the iphone!

How long was it before copy and paste was added to IOS, was a while if I recall and lets not forget its only just got multitasking and still no sign off flash, people do seem to forget things like this for sure.

It was added with the 3Gs I think? So 2 years after iOS originally came out? Definately wasn't around with at least the beginning of the 3G as it wasn't around when I got my HD which was a few months after the 3G came out.:p

The satnav software by Orange relies on a 3g connection, mine won't even startup if it can't get one so I think the problem is it's hogging the bandwidth.

It's all well and good saying how long did it take for apple to add such and such but thats not the point to compete against the likes of the iphone and android equivalents they need to have them asap really. It's like a car being produced with a crank start engine and saying well ford didn't introduce key start until xxx.

Surely the programming involved in getting these features can't be that difficult to do?

It was to do with how the apps work, each app has its own private memory space when running and therefore they couldn't get copy and paste to work.

Though it would be interesting to know how they overcome it.

2 weeks on with wp7 and my omnia and im still in love, the only thing that would make me completely happy is to have the os work completely in landscape if so desired, and i mean everythig like zune etc... that and 180 degree so i can use a charging cradle on my desk as it seems so stupid to put the charge point on the top of the phone! custom things like own wallpapers on tiles and folders along with other little customisation tweaks would be nice but theres 2 years for that.

worth noting i found a post online yesterday with someone stating they can dump and re-flash differant roms on there htc, nothing custom yet but its all proof of concept and could lead to some interesting times.

just annoying that you cant just sit the thing in a desk charger and be done, faff about pluging leads in the top aswell.

They better ****** fix the email client with this update! (or a gmail app would be even better... :))

I'm getting sick of 'fixing' email problems on my dads HD7, the latest one... seems you can't reply to html emails :(
It only sends the OG email back without your reply and there's no way of turning it into a 'plain text' email :mad:

Seems MS hates gmail users... any workarounds?
