The biggest dump you've see on Google Street View

This thread makes me sad and the way people treat this planet, all those homes ruined, all the hard work gone in to making them for nothing.

Thing is, the houses aren't bad - it'd probably look nice if people living there gave a ****! ;)

Nice Pet Store! :D LOL! One thing that amazes me about the states is that in many places, even the deprived have plenty of land around their homes... It's a bit of an odd contrast to all our terraces and highly-concentrated developments (I know it's because we don't have the same amount of land, but it still intrigues me).

EDIT: Looking around Jaywick, that's mental! Funny how not far away there's a caravan site that's nicely maintained. Wonder if they see much going missing where locals may have resorted to crime?
My google maps aren't working right now for some reason. Take a look at the River Rouge and Highland Park areas, west-south-west of Detroit. They make [that ghetto area of] Detroit look modern and clean. :)

Of course, just like every major city, there are very nice places and very nasty places. Why, just north-east of Detroit is Grosse Pointe. Take a drive down Jefferson there. A totally different world.

I think it's pretty funny that most of the photos in this thread are places that I've live in or near.

Walsal, Nottingham, Detroit... every city has it's bad parts tbf.

I know Middlesborough has some rough/abandoned areas. This was literally the first place I dropped the Google streetview man on

Nice

The links of New Mexico and Michigan are awesome! I just freaking love all those old signs, run down buildings etc. It truly fascinates me.

The state with the most abandoned / ghost towns is Oregon. Sadly a lot of the ghost towns aren't on google streetview :( In fact most that I look for aren't.

This one is gorgeous. The little post office is fantastic too. This place is semi/near ghost town. It has a small resident population, many abandoned buildings. It's an early 1900s railroad and agricultural town.

I'd love to find loads of American ghost towns to take photos of them and just experience them. Another place I'd love to visit is Pripyat, Ukraine.

Nice

i knew that was coming !

amazingly that area is now a green field. they where boarded up like that for years though after everyone got evicted , a mate lived on a nearby estate and had gypsies trying to steal his gas pipes while he was sleeping and while the gas was still on.

How did the area get so bad? I know there are a lot of almost deserted areas in Middlesborough, I was just surprised to find one in my first hit!
