what are the servicing & running costs like on the RS4 Housey ?

Brake Parts, Tyres, Services etc. ?

Dealer

Servicing averages at 600ish.
Front pads and discs 1000ish
Rears around 700ish
Dampers 1200ish

Good tyres 900ish

You can do it much cheaper on brakes, I did last time!

22mpg

I've had around 8k of warranty work in 3 years but my car is used day to day and sits at 87k. Just serviced and re tyred in last 2 weeks. Get it bought OP and I'll sell it for you so you can buy an E46 330d with the change!

What right have you lot got to say what he can and can't afford. You always do that Fox, and others. Always have a go at me for posting crap, take a look in the dam mirror.

LOL. Smokey you are one sikkkk guy.

But seriously, if OP does buy Audi RS4, get the estate.

But since I have a feeling OP is talking bull, my above statement is invalid.

didnt know that, i thought trucks had those uppers and lowers like different plains and such

People are far too quick to jump in here, and they always have.
Shame, as the OP's probably going to buy an RS4 now and realise that it's ****.

Which RS4 are we talking about here? Whats the budget?

There is an RS4 owner here, who will be happy to tell you about the costs involved with owning a car like this.

I'm seriously disappointed that you entertained this thread from the start? Where's your sense of cynicism gone? I hope you're simply trialling some short lived new years resolution..

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt even though its rare we ever get a serious thread about that type of car.

But once it was clear his age was made up and then MrLOL posted threads showing he'd just bought a house and had a knackered Mondeo it all fell down.

He could have just been left a large inheritance or won the lottery :D

But why would you only spend 30k and on an RS4 of all things if you'd won the lottery :p

The RS4 just looks too cute to me, too curvy. Like how new shape BMW saloons have gotten.

Coupes are a different story though :p

Upper & Lower? I assume your thinking of high & low range gearboxes, with "split" gears, the trucks incdentally roll back on hills because they are actually conventional manual gearboxes with automatic gear selection & clutch action if you follow, if the 'box tried to hold the vehicle on a hill, you'd very quickly have an - at best - smoking clutch. :)

who says you had to have won the jackpot ?

5 + the bonus ball is £100,000 or thereabouts usually.

More than enough to get you your first house and buy you a nice car and put some away in savings.
